Prospects for the top two picks aren't supposed to be brought in until at least week. Mitch and Jim aren't allowing the media in for second round workouts so there is going to be close no workout news on our end.

thon maker developed poorly since his hype began in HS unfortunately. he really reminds me of a taller dwayne polee (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlpOECo2eNI)
i would rather draft wayne selden jr

can't ignore talent like kris dunn and buddy hield. i think either of those guys could easily go top 3 with a good workout.

Simmons's camp floats another report that he's fine going to the Sixers, looks like the table is set for him at number 1.

Bring on Ingram!

A Credit to the lakers brand and front office to be able to schedule a workout with him. Most agents are hesitant to schedule workouts for teams that are looking at trade targets and instead prioritize teams that are picking around the range that agents see their players being selected.

Yeah but he's projected so far away from either of our picks and he plays a position where we have two other young players so even if it is due diligence, it looks like a waste of everyone's time during such a busy month.

Yeah but perhaps he's already going to be in the area and could be that some canceled workouts form either side resulted in an opening from both sides

Bobby marks from the vertical has a good piece detailing the logistical nightmare and several contingencies teams have in place for these workouts. Can't find it right now.

I don't pay much attention to the names that get released of who we're working out this year as I think they're all smoke screens and believe Mitch is hoping a player drops into the 2nd round, they're being so damn hush hush so that's why i think that's whats going on
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust

Very likely a favor to an agent. Remember last year when we worked out Cameron Payne? Ellenson's agent is in Roc Nation (same agency that represents Durant).

Smells like due diligence, or what ArC_man suggested.

clever, gain favor with durant via agents and then that gives us a better standing.

(wait, Roc Nation is Jay Z isn't it, jay z is going to try bring durant to the nets  )

yeah Simmons going 1 is a lock (almost, it is Colangelo after all). Ingram is the perfect fit though as a traditional S.F, so that fills out our core (and if Maker is their at 32, we may have our starting center)

I'd rather find a gem like Nance than go for potential fools gold in Maker. Sounds like his body won't hold up:

If he goes to the right team where he can play behind a proven good vet and be brought along slowly, he could be a team's 4th big

We worked out Cameron Payne last year too. It's mostly done as a favor to agents I think
