Umm Deen, Kay Felder 49 - If Kay Felder is the 49th best player in this Draft
I'm a monkey's uncle. Eeek eeek eeek ooo ooo ooo. I'm hoping the Celts draft Felder
around 31 or 35 and think he might be one of the Top 20 players in the Draft.

I want Felder on the Celtics.

Also, I just not feeling Bender hype. I think Bender falls to 8-10 come draft time.

Re: "WCIHAoTDP?" - 2016 Draft Thread P.2
I've mentioned Chriss before as I guy I'm intrigued with, but I'd say that picking him at 3 would be a head-scratcher. If Ainge is putting an extreme bias towards scoring potential, I can understand why he likes Chriss' prospects. I do hope he is FULLY investigating the hot and cold motor because some of the visual evidence is worrisome. But he does have the capability of being a big time scorer and able to score in a variety of ways if he has the drive to put the work in to sharpen some of the base tools he has already. He can score on the perimeter, off the ball, straight line drives, and has a decent array of post moves at this stage.
I still favor Bender in a vacuum. While he, too, might be years away from a strong contributor, his length and ability to see the floor and pass, imo, allows him to make winning plays in the meantime. But if the Ainges noted personality issues either through watching his approach in practice or during workouts that lent him to question his drive, I obviously am not in position to argue. I just hope it is not the "fear of the unknown" that Blakely is espousing.
I could get behind Brown. But he's going to be another case, like Rozier, where you are banking on him improving his touch and finishing ability at the rim and more consistency in his outside shot. He certainly has tools. I also would fear they would then not be willing to pick Prince later in the round, whom I like a great deal. But Brown has the potential of being an alpha dog scorer type, Prince doesn't seem to have that type of ceiling.

Chriss and Gallo would be a solid coup for the 3 if he drops to 7 and Denver is in love with a prospect.
Yea that would make a ton of sense. I know, i know, Gallo again, but it's time for Denver to move on and Gallo's deal ain't that long, so it would make sense for both sides.
Good assessment:

5. Denzel Valentine
6. Timothe Luwawu
7. Ivica Zubac
8. Ante Zizic
9. Prince Ibeh
10. Zhou Qi
These rankings are such bull **** man. How the hell did you snub Cat Barber like that?
Sorry, man. As long as it says Anthony Barber on his birth certificate, he'll be a late lottery guy. But I could easily see him using this diss as motivation.
My guys are:
Bender
Dunn
Hield
Murray
Chriss
Baldwin
Zizic
Zubac
Onuaku
Qi
Maker
Felder
Khorkmaz
Valentine
Yabusele
Luwawu
Prince
I would love a combo of any of these guys. 2nd round bigs are very exciting! Onuaku/Maker maybe even draft Felder. Yabusele is also not a bad pick with 31 or 34.
First round if Baldwin can fall to us or we can move a up a little. The guy seems like a super solid pick. Zizic or Zubac would be great too(with our mid-late picks), Qi with 23 makes some sense as well. Valentine is a good pick, I'm just not sure, if it's worth for us to pick him. Khorkmaz is one of the better SG prospects in this draft, if not the best, if he was in US for a year in college, he'd go before Murray, probably.
With the 3rd pick I like Bender/Murray/Dunn, if Danny is in love with Hield, draft him, but in this case Bradley would probably have to go. Chriss at #3 sounds kinda absurd, but maybe Danny and his minions + Brad see something special in him. I think he will be there later and we can get other assets if we trade down, instead of drafting him at #3. Not a huge fan of Chriss' wingspan and standing reach too(7 feet wingspan and 8'9" standing reach compared to Bender 9'3" standing reach and 7'2" wingspan)
Overall, I'd like to get bigs, we need bigs or SFs and there are some talented in this draft, so it would be a good time for Danny to strike. Bender/Zizic/Zubac/Chriss/Maker/Onuaku/Yabusele-PF/C and as SFs, I guess Jaylen Brown/Luwawu/Prince
edit: If we draft Prince at #16, Jae would have the chance to play with his brother from another mother.

You mean Yabusele? yea, I mentioned him in my post. Very interesting prospect. He's only 20, too...
edit: and btw Yabusele is 270, built like a damn truck! Guy's a beast, might be on the juice.

Yabusele doesn't shoot well, including free throws (hovers around 50%). He is also foul prone. His ceiling is probably Reggie Evans.

A trade for Okafor would be my second choice.
Hes doing all that against guys who are 6 5 and hes 6 10. He looks atheltic but he also looks slower than he may appear and not a lot in that tape screams 3rd overall to me
I see the opposite. That tape of Chriss (and others like it) screams #3 overall pick in my eyes. Of course we're talking about an 18 year old kid so this is far from an exact science.
Interested in other's thoughts.
He looks great in that highlight reel. He's got a lot of Bosh to him offensively...worse shooting but more explosive. His low rebounding rate is a serious concern for me. I haven't watched him so I don't know if it's lack of effort, strength, or something else but if that can't be remedied then I would be looking for more from a #3.

Would take Reggie Evans in a heartbeat at 35. I would take Reggie Evans at 23.

But IMHO that's his ceiling. He may not get there. He's a decent second round draft and stash candidate, though.

Did read the scout v. stat boards are a lot different this year than last.

Big kid who had a nice year at Louisville. His older brother Arinze played at Syracuse and has bounced around the D-league for a few years.

Golden State could've had Paul George. Wow. What could've been. They selected Ekpe Udoh instead. Just imagine PG13 instead of Barnes in the Death Lineup.

I think his Murray, Hield, and Bender ratings are off, but he did produce this https://deanondraft.com/2016/06/03/teenage-mutant-ninja-poeltl/
I like Chriss and Brown, but not in top 5. They are incomplete players atm. Brown has athletic ability. IMO Brown is like RHJ. Brown and RHJ both need to improve their jumper and handle. Brown and RHJ both play defense. RHJ was more accomplished defensive player, but I think Browns jumper is a little better. Chriss is just more of a put back guy. He can shoot, but his defense is average and his rebounding poor. If he had a handle he could be a three.
Potential is like a beautiful siren that lures GMs to their deaths.
Brown is WORLDS better on offense as a raw freshman than RHJ ever was. Their areas of improvement are similar, so I think the point you're making is accurate, but Brown is starting from a much higher point both athletically and offensive skill wise.
The more I think about it, the more I think Brown is the guy. Ainge loves athletic, multipositional players who were former top prospects. Also, that comment Stevens made to Brown ("You would love it here") seems like he was trying to sell Brown on why he should come here and not vice versa. His connection to Isiah Thomas(and his subsequent connection to Isaiah Thomas) also elicit this thought.
Well I was a big RHJ fan. I also like Brown and think he is a Danny type of guy, but he is a minor project so I think 3 is to high for him. IMO he will fall some and maybe Danny can get him later. He has all the tools and if he develops a better handle and jumper the sky is the limit.
