OT: Shameless Promotion, Social Media Thread

Post#1 » by SOUL » Thu Jun 2, 2016 11:45 pm

If I remember correctly, we had this thread a few years ago and it was pretty cool -- had a bunch of us supporting each other and our endeavors and had us following each other on social media.

So use this thread to plug whatever endeavor you're working on or anything you'd like to promote, even if you have nothing just link a restaurant or something and maybe we'll all go to it and check it out.*

*Unless whatever you're directly promoting is going to be monetized as far as being a pay-for-click or anything like that, that's a no-no.

For those who enjoyed my basketball writing on the Toronto gamethread, I started my personal basketball website again:

http://thedoublescreen.com/

It's going to have a bunch of not super serious takes on basketball, and pretty much whatever I feel like getting off of my chest that is entertaining to me. Think netw3rk or Shea Serrano rather than anything analytical like Lowe or to a crazy extent, Seth Partnow. You can support it by just bookmarking it or subscribing to the website so it alerts you when I post something, or clicking the icons at the bottom of the page and following it on social media (Twitter/FB).

Also for anybody who's into gaming, I write for EquityArcade (https://www.facebook.com/equityarcade) -- a growing gaming/media website out of Brooklyn, so if you're into that sort of content you might want to check it out!

I know a lot of you like Adam have a really good website that more people should know about, and a few of you make music, design, or do some pretty interesting work that we'd love to learn more about.

Or you can simply just drop a few social media links if you're interesting and want us to follow you.

As some of you already know, penn24 and I have a Magic-specific podcast now called the Penny & Pops Podcast. We're a few episodes in.
We're hosting them on Soundcloud:
https://soundcloud.com/magic-basketball-online-137665379

But you can hear us on iTunes, Google Play Music, Stitcher, and more platforms. Any listens, subscriptions, high reviews help and are much appreciated. Just trying to spread some Magic knowledge considering how bad the local alternatives can be.

I've been working on a web series for about a year now. We're trying to get some word of mouth for it. A goal is 10,000 likes on Facebook. It's an action series called Beyond Scope we're going to be trying to get distributed through Netflix or Amazon Prime etc...we've got a great cast with Hollywood experience and some talented new actors as well. But we're an upstart company. Any support from the board would be awesome. Just type Beyond Scope: Web Series on FB's search bar or hit this link. https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=473275909526403&tsid=0.3784505198709667&source=typeahead.

Enjoying the podcast Adam. The conversation flows well. There was another Magic podcast available earlier in the season (Men In Blue) that was promoted on True Blue Nation but that seems to have stopped. Either way always good to have more Magic content available so thanks for doing it!

MagicMadness was tremendous fun. I had a great time there during those years that led to the 2009 finals team and lots of great posters were there. It was a kind of a mini-realgm just for Magic fans but it was great. Oh, and I ruled on the fantasy leagues. :)

Awesome, I got some stuff to check out, I also have a podcast of my own. It's called "Balls in our Court." I'm more of the hoops guy, and my other buddy is more of Football. I been at this podcast for about 2 1/2 years and I feature a blog on the Hardwood Nation from time to time. Anyhoo I'll check your stuff out and I'm always open for guests to come on. I'm totally into the cross promoting... It's a win win for everyone. Here's some of my info.

I guess I will take a stab! lol ....

I was formally employed with Florida Hospital with MIS but started up a side gig about 3 years ago now spraying what was new to the public eye back then labeled "Plasti dip". Well years into this business venture 6 months ago it go profitable enough to go full time. Since then I've been growing and currently moving into a bigger shop with a 20,000$ Spray booth and the whole 9.

This is my website....kind of simple and hope to make it better soon.

And here is some of my work for cliff notes :)

The concept of this idea is to protect your stock paint job whilst giving your car your own look. The material is 100% peelable and you can go back to your stock color in a few hours. Any of you guys need some work done and mention realgm I will gladly help out and take care of my fellow magic fans!
