Those are kind of the main attractions, you know? Once you move those guys off the table, interest declines quickly.

I mean, I'm going off comments like below. If that is the mindset, the main attractions should be off the table.

Sure, there are some fans who would move Knight for a bag of chips, but our GM is very invested in him. Moved the Lakers pick for him, even tried to move Dragic for him before the deadline. A lot of us would want Knight moved because we have Booker coming up, but I think most of us realize he has positive value, especially given how reasonable his deal looks in light of the new cap.

So the GM isn't planning on moving him just to move him.

Teague only has 1 year left on his deal. It's what makes Knight more attractive.

I don't think getting rid of Knight is essential. Moving him toward a 6th man role is the key.

Sign or draft a pf.
Sign or draft another pf.
Sign a distributing back up pg.

Get a star player, of any kind, to go anywhere except maybe sg.

Love the creative ideas but that's so bad for us, 1upz.

I take it the day of the draft is the first day trades can be executed? I don't recall anyone ever making trades between the end of the finals and the draft. There is a chance, if there has been an Okafor for 3 or 4 or anything else, that it's already been agreed upon contingent on who is available at that pick. It makes too much sense for the Celtics to trade the 3 for Okafor if he can, but maybe the Sixers have decided they'd rather keep him if the Noel rumors are real.

It may be different now, but I believe teams out of the playoffs are free to execute trades. Has anyone verified this recently. Most teams don't though to take advantage of opportunity to shop around before the draft.

I'm sure Knight can be had, but it won't be in a salary dump situation for a late pick. The FO won't consider it, unless it's a fully qualified offer with players or assets that move the needle for PHX. Unless there is another significant deal afoot for PHX, I doubt the FO considers more picks in this draft, so that would need to be taken into consideration.

3 all stars.

Still manage to keep a top 8 pick.

Possibly a top 6 west team.

Have a scorer at every spot.

If that team wins 50 games... Doesnt matter if some fans hate it or not.

Sarver might be getting desperate.

Potentially a 50-55 win team.

Doesnt matter if players are unliked... Ownership and FO are under pressure to win soon. They might rush it.. And thats a not too bad rushed lineup...
Considering they move down 4 spots in the draft.
Gets a top 7 player in George... A defensive center who can score 20 inside...

Has a mobile and athletic PF.. Who can score.

Still a high upside rookie PF.

I think some hate the idea of losing Booker and Warren....

But to get a big 3... That plays BOTH sides of the court and a high upside rookie in Jaylen Brown as well... Is a win from FO point of view...

You all know McD is trying to do what he did in Boston... Get 3 big name players.

You are correct. Teams out of the playoffs can make trades, but obviously free agents can't be signed until 12:01 a.m. EST on July 1st.

Just for proof, I went and double checked because I don't trust my own memory since I turn 40 this year and I forget anything I don't put in my google calendar: http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q103

The trade deadline is the point during the season after which trades are prohibited. It is defined as 3:00 PM Eastern Time on the 17th Thursday of the season. The prohibition on trades lasts until the day following the team's final game of the season

I give you an A for effort, but I'm not a fan of that roster. Howard's knees are a total mess. I'm fairly certain the real reason Houston doesn't want him back is that they think he needs microfracture and he's on borrowed time. You also have 2 players playing out of position. George is a SF that can do spot duty at PF and the same goes for Rudy. I don't want to go a whole season with those two pouting though I do like each player's game. I think McLemore can be salvaged as a player. He's in desperate need of relocation. I don't think I want it to be (602) though.

I want to stay the course if we can. Move our superfluous players for picks or young players and keep building through the draft. It's a slow process, which of course stinks because we've been out of the playoffs since 2010.

McD hits one in left field and trades #4, #13, 2021 Miami 1st, TJ Warren, for Paul George. We offer Terrence Jones 12mil a year after he passes a physical and our trainers say he's good to go. Sign MT3.

This means it won't happen :( McD makes his trades secretly.

Sounds like someone has been frequenting our board.

Be patient people, let's build our team. Then you get FA's begging to come at half price.
