Taking Peja Stojakovic.

Image

One of the last really efficient scorers left, gives me elite outside shooting to fit with my remarkable playmaking ability on the perimeter. He never got to play with guards like Penny and Stock in his career, he'll thrive in my system. All 3 of my perimeter players have 60% TS or better.

With the 62nd pick in the 90's to Now Fantasy Draft, ChicagoSportsFan21 selects...

Spoiler:
Joe Dumars-SG-Detroit Pistons

Image

I got the player who I was targeting this round! Joe Dumars will be a great complement piece/fit at the 2 spot alongside Billups for my backcourt. Dumars is a 2 way player who can play both sides effectively. He's regarded as one of the best perimeter defenders of all time (been on multiple all defensive teams). In fact, Jordan has said Dumars was one of the toughest defenders against him, which is quite a comment from the GOAT. On offense, his ability to shoot from the perimeter will be great for spacing as well as his playmaking will be vital for my team. He doesn't have an ego unlike some of his teammates, he just goes out there and balls. I like his team first attitude/work ethic. All in all he should be a great player for my team due to his impact on all facets of the game. He checks off all the boxes needed for a championship team.

I got him!

Image

Yao Ming.

Thinking 08/09. Pretty much averaged 20/10, unstoppable hook shot, and a great mid range game that'll fit well with Dennis Rodman.

Plus, I need someone to defend those intimidating centers in this game. I definitely won't find anyone with enough bulk, so I might as well get the dude with all the height and length, to use to his advantage. 08/09 m, if I choose that year, was his best defensive year in terms of win shares.

With the 66th overall pick in the 90's to Now Fantasy Draft.

Team Posterized select Shane Battierr, aka: Batman.

Image

The year I am thinking is 2006/2007. He is another shooter from threes and is a tough nose defender and only 8 FGA, with most of them from threes.

Sorry for the wait everyone had a busy Sunday. And now for my pick.
We all know how coaches were for the taking this year after the season. I'm going to invest in one of the new ones for my pick
In my most strategic pick of the draft I'm going with

Mr. Sonic

I picked this guy in the last draft and I'm taking him in this draft. I need a facilitator. I wanted someone who can run the offense and not need a bunch of FGA. I also wanted a strong defensive PG. My pick is:

Image

Rajon Rondo - 2008/09

Rondo had a
TS% - .543
OWS - 4.8
DWS - 5.1
OBPM - 2.0
DBPM - 2.5

A perfect fit for my roster.

I'm gonna show my age here, but this is the player who got me into COLLEGE basketball back in the day (i.e. the hay day of the Big East). Plus, Jory and Snake now both have two original Dream Teamers on their rosters and I want in on that mojo!

The Brain-Dead Kennedys select Chris Mullin (year TBD).

2014-15

1x All Star
FG% = .487
3P% = .492 (1st in the league)
eFG% = .671
TS% = .699 (1st in the league)
ORTG = 122.0 (10th in the league)

effecient as hell with only 8 FGA

Image

Took him last time and i will happily take him again. I'm definitely getting tight on FGA's and may even have to switch Wade's peak season to 06'. But that's a price i'm willing to take for the GOAT sniper :D

With the 73rd pick in the 90's to Now Fantasy Draft, ChicagoSportsFan21 selects...

Spoiler:
Metta World Peace-SF-Indiana Pacers

Image

I got him after some close calls! I need an ELITE defender at the wing who can guard all the great small forwards out there so who better than Metta World Peace during his time with the Pacers. He's a former DPOY winner as well as been on multiple all-time defensive teams. Known for his defense, but he can provide some quality minutes on the offensive side too with scoring production, a capable double digit scorer. All teams need a guy who will stick up for his teammates and bring their toughness/intensity night in and night out and that's what Metta World Peace will provide. Metta World Peace seems like a player who players would love to be teammates with, but hate to play against.

Charles Oakley.

Had this guy pegged as my starting 4 since after round 1 was over. Crazy low FGA, all nba level defense, can hit a decent mid range shot, good rebounder per-minute.

On a CP3 led team you have two paths you can take with your bigs.
The reserved NO/OK path or the flashy LAC path and I have fully committed to one side
That said my 79th pick goes to

Elton Brand(year TBA)
