Detroit Pistons 2016 Voting Big Board - #3

Post#1 » by coordinator0 » Sun Jun 5, 2016 6:40 pm

It came as no surprise but Ingram is the lone vote-getter for the #2 spot on the poll so I'm going to start the next one a bit early. This is where it gets interesting. The next tier is widely debated, with only one or two guys generally being ranked above the rest.

Who's your pick for the #3 player on Detroit's big board?

1. Ben Simmons
2. Brandon Ingram
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

Based on potential, position, and value, pretty clearly Bender for me. It gets more interesting at #4, IMO.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I voted for Bender, mostly for the whole 'stretch 4' thing, but I really like Kris Dunn.

For me it's Bender pretty easily too, but I know there are some ranging opinions on him and some of the other guys at this juncture of the draft.

I'm kind of surprised Murray is keeping it close.

I don't get the love for Chriss. I don't get why he's rated to highly. Based off of potential, I think I'd rather have Skal Labissiere than Chriss.
