He interviews really well. Coach K approved (speaks highly of him, stated he is no maintenance, never couch times and loves basketball and even stated him and Plumlee where the two key players).

Regarding Thon Maker, I think sometimes you can spend too much time looking at a player's deficiencies. As far as players stock goes going into the draft there are a couple players that come to mind in Deandre Jordan and Clint Capela. Deandre had an underwhelming college career so he went from being a top 3 pick in some mock drafts to the 35th pick in the draft. Clint Capela was largely seen as a project player that would be a stash player for the future. My point with those two guys is if a player has a skill that translates to the NBA you should weigh what they can contribute in the NBA.

I'm not saying Thon Maker will be a good player or anything, I'm just saying he appears to have very unique skills that we could use if you develop him right. Best thing we can do is get him in for a workout because there really is no real in game evidence of his true ability against older players. Maybe he could be a Capela type of player with potential for more. Nobody knows at this point.

Precisely how I feel about these project bigs, if they could match Capela's impact by their 2nd yr, it'd be a steal in this rising market; that's why I'm so open to trading Lou for a pick or 2 like maybe to the Clips for #25 & #33 which I think works out for both teams.

2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac

Just a thought. If Philly are getting a trade done for J.Teague why would they select simmons? having two playmakers doesn't make sense to me and got me thinking they might after all select Ingram.

Make me happy as I'm cheering for fellow aussie to be a Laker :)

The game has changed. Just look at the Warriors and how they have multiple guys who are playmakers. Having multiple playmakers makes the game so much easier for your role players.

Philly is set on Simmons, Brandon will be ours. If it's not Brandon Ingram, it better be cousins or Butler.

Makes sense. Ingram is a can't miss prospect, given the pedigree, size and skill.

I saw on another site that Ingram's standing reach is longer than KAT's.

why is thong maker being discussed in the #2 pick thread?
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

You have a very low bar for a jinx.

you need to get rid of that twitter sig thing at the bottom of your posts because everytime I think its a brand new tweet, its just your sig that keeps reminding me that magic johnson thinks byron scott will coach again. very confusing. you always provide good facts and useful information and your twitter updates are on point, but that magic johnson--->byron scott tweet thing needs to go.

Looks like Ingram is scheduled for dinner on Wednesday evening and workout on Thursday. Will be surprised if we do any more workouts.
