They could conceivably win 4 or 5 titles in a row. I can't see any super team coming up in the next 2 years.

This is why it's best that LeBron and Durant team up with Lowry and DD in Toronto next year. (DD coming off the bench as 6th man)

How the hell did Golden State build this thing, in 2016 nonetheless? Hats off to them. The good news is after Golden State you can easily say the Raptors had the 2nd most successful season of the NBA franchises.

and they built it without any of their core players drafted higher than 7th.

Dayum give em props!

either way the answer is yes... remember when they got swept by the spurs, pre-lebron decision?

Orlando's Finals teams might have a case too...but in their defense, at least every game was relatively close in their sweeps (okay, they weren't swept in 2009 but it felt like it).

Cleveland is so stupid. I knew this **** was going to happen when Lue had them trying to play like Golden State. The only way you can beat Golden State is by playing a directly contrasting style to them, go inside and get big and physical.

The Raptors would've performed better in these finals than Cleveland, just based off the fact that we rim-run, draw fouls, get down and dirty and have Jonas and BB inside. Stupid Cavs should've just jobbed to us and let us go and not get disgraced like this, making the whole east look like doodoo.

Oh, and ban the Cavs from entry into the Bay Area.

Draymond Green has a great personality. I don't know why people don't like the kid. He's young and foolish. So what? Everyone at one point in their life has acted similar.

If Raptors could acquire a player as useful as Green on our team we would be a far more efficient team.

Look, I love the way he plays from a pure basketball standpoint, and yes ANY team would love him on their team, but he's not just "young and foolish", he's dirty and borderline dangerous with some of the cheap shots he delivers. 95% of NBA players in the league are not as dirty as him and have never been. And they were all his age once. So you can't chalk up his dirty plays to youth.

2 extremely close games decided by questionable suspect officiating esp the 1st game, Raps match up really well against the Warriors we have the personnel to give a serios run for their money.

we also beat cleveland twice in the regular season.

we would get destroyed by the warriors. they make 3s, we give up tons of open ones. if were not getting fouls against cleveland, what makes you think well get them against gs. we struggle defending teams that can penetrate and move well without the ball... those close regular season games are meaningless.

Thought lebron was going to go beast mode but man was i wrong. The warriors are just too good, maybe an okc vs cavs finals would have been better lol

Its looking like the warriors have to have a really really really tough off night for the cavs to even win a game. I think cavs take one at home and GS closes out 4-1 at oracle. What a disappointing series so far

Are any JV fans watching this series or the OKC vs GSW series? Elite teams have always had garbagemen type bigs that defend the rim at an elite level. Or they were transcendent offensive talents.

I mostly agree. But JV is a pretty sick garbage man on the offensive end wouldn't you say? Not even Whiteside could keep him off the glass.

Defense is coming along. He'll never be Bogut but he'll be fine I think.

OKC made Draymond Green look like a bench warmer(overrated) .354 FG%/11ppg and now he could be on the verge of NBA FINALS MVP! unbelievable! just to show how OKC was the superior team

Curry does that and you may have to award him goatsmanship. Too much to deny. Him klay and Green's average draft range is pick 18. Love (from Wiggins) Kylie and LBJ all product of #1.

Crazy drafting.

I don't agree that the defense is coming along, he just doesn't have the natural instinct. Having a glorified Enes Kanter doesn't help us. He was stapled to the bench while someone like Steven Adams who is significantly LESS talented than JV proved his worth.

What are you talking about? His defense was excellent for the last month or so of the season until he went down in the playoffs. He's not even a defensively liability when our perimeter guys arent getting blown buy as his help defense, while improving, still needs work. Kanter isnt in the same universe as him defensively.

JV isnt the defender Adams is but hes one of the very best rebounders in the league on both ends. We basically underused him as a garbage man this season and he was still great.

After the Brooklyn, Washington, and Cleveland series, you'd think people would stop using the favourable regular season results as a barometer.
