Some day we will figure out how to beat the Rangers.

Some day.

Well, luck is a bitch and she hates the Astros tonight!

In all seriousness though, good to see Lewis is okay after that because that could potentially have been really awful.

Solid pitching so far tonight from McCullers and Feliz, and Rasmus making a beautiful sno-cone catch.

Sooo, can we get anything going offensively?

What the hell is wrong with Keuchel this year? My god...

We lost the last three games in a row 2-1. The pitching had been really solid coming into this game but we just couldn't score any runs.

Really needed Keuchel to step it up and give us a quality start today.

Playing really good baseball lately, but I am really getting tired of watching Gregerson blow saves.

I've lost track of all the extra inning games they've played so far this season.

Tough 4-game series @ Texas coming up, it'd be nice to see them take this series and at least get a split against the Rangers.

Another walk off RBI for Correa!

Luke can't be the closer any longer and IMO needs to be taken out of late inning situations. I think he's blown 7 saves in May. Need to give him the Giles treatment and let him figure **** out in blowouts and mid innings. Nice to see Carlos get back on track and these late game winning RBIs are just amazing. I know Gattis can't mash the way he's been lately all season but I hope he can give us 70-80% of that. And if one of Gomez or Big V can be productive on a nightly bases this team will be unstoppable. Also the Astros have to have broken some record on extra innings games.

We have to win this next series against the Rangers. Have to prove we are back on track by beating this team. Such a important series.

They have to take three of these to show they are for real

I agree.

I'd be okay with a split seeing as it's on the road against a good team that we haven't beaten since...hmmmmm...well, it almost feels like we've never beaten them.

We're 2-14 in the last 16 games against them. 0-6 so far this season. That's quite depressing!

(and that's just looking as far back as to last July)

But if they can manage to take 3 out of 4, I'd be **** thrilled.

Sending Keuchel back out in a tied game in the 8th when he had already thrown over 100 pitches, despite how well he pitched up to that point...I'm really beginning to hate Hinch.

Having said that, when your top 4 hitters combine to go 0-13(with a combined 3 walks and 11 runners LOB, yay) that doesn't help much.

It's insane how they just cannot ever find a way to beat the Rangers.

I haven't been able to watch many Astros games so far this season, but I did catch yesterday's ass-whomping of the Royals. Hope that they didn't use up all of the runs in that series!

Last season the Astros started off hot and cooled down as the season went on. This season it looks like the opposite. They're looking like what the Rangers did last season!

The Astros have hung 26 runs on the Royals over the past two games! :o

Hinch is managing like like a boss. Since moving springer in the one hole he's been spanking it and same goes for Correa since batting cleanup. And Altuve has to be the front runner for MVP. Also Valbuna has been on fire likely fearing losing his job to Bregman. I still say the have to take a series against the Rangers for me to think they are for real but nice to be a couple game above .500.

Yeah, the Rangers are playing on another level and certainly seem to have the Astros number, but it has been nice taking it to the champs these past few games!

Good to see them on such a roll lately, and also very good to see that other team from our great state lose their last two games in amusing ways.

It does still suck that even with all their recent success they're still 8.5 games behind in the division(only a half game behind in the WC!), but they're playing really good baseball right now and it should hopefully lead to a really exciting second half of the season.

Let's see what they can do between now and Aug. 5th when they once again have to face their daddies.

Valbuena with the walk-off homer!

After the game when asked about it: "I hit it pretty good, yeah?"

In the MLB Futures game Alex Bregman has a triple, a double & a single.

Can't wait for him to become part of the core!

The Astros are so close from taking this division so close. Unfortunately for that bad series against the A's they'd been two games back. They only the can take and hold the division is beating those **** Rangers. They better get it together against that team otherwise they won't take it.
