Anyone suprised channing is a complete non factor in this series? Cavs will be lucky to win 1 game.

So many ex Wildcats involved in this series....Kerr, Walton, Iggy, Frye, Jefferson. They should use that for recruiting purposes.

After watching the OKC series (one of the best ive seen in a while) i was super jacked to watch the finals. Somehow in all that I managed to forget how not that good of a team clevland is. Also, i think lebron is overrated. Outside of playing in miami does a lebron led clevland ever make it past the 2nd round if they play in the west?

Mate of mine was saying something similar. Lebron should really have one championship. Ray Allen saved his royal behind in GM6 of the Spurs/Heat series. Outside of the 07 Cavs, in which he was a true superstar leading a group of bench players into the Finals, his teams have always been stacked enough and he's also played in a very weak East.

Lebron had a trip-dub in the "Ray Allen Game". He also played pretty damn well in the 2014 finals which they lost. If it weren't for the choke of 2011 he'd be unanimous top-5 of all time.

not saying hes a bad player. I think hes overrated as a leader and ultimately w/o riding the coattails of 3 other hall of famers probably wouldn't have any rings. I personally dont think hes anywhere near the top 5 greatest of all time. You're telling me theres only 4 players in the history of the NBA you would start a team around over lebron?

Not really, Frye has value when you want to draw a shot-blocking, rebounding big away from the basket. That's why he was valuable against Byombo. GSW has mostly been playing a small line-up. Frye is useless against a guy like Green, who can guard him both at the perimeter as well as in the post. Meanwhile Frye doesn't have the foot speed to stick with Green.

Please tell me the 4 people that are better than Lebron . MVP means nothing
as hes shown he cant win with anything less that what I've said.

You said he rode the coattails of other guys. How is that possible when he was the best player in the league?

Lebron was voted #9 in the RealGM top-100. Without the choke in 2011 he's top-5 in my book. We've never seen a more versatile player in history and he's only 31.

This is like the second time youve danced around my question. I personally dont really care what REALGM voted anything, as this forum isnt the end all be all and it certainly doesn't align with my opinion. I'm just curious what 4 players you would take above Lebron? He couldnt get it done himself, so he went and joined two 1st team all NBAers, I'm sure you know the story. I consider that coatail riding, maybe a little grey area but nonetheless. You dont, and thats fine. He's one of the best ever but there are plenty of players throughout history that are better than he is.

I'm just wondering about these claims like "he couldn't win it himself". How many guys win championships without help?

Of guys from the modern era I would for sure take Jordan, Kareem and Tim Duncan. Possibly Shaq or Hakeem. Starting a franchise is different from all time rankings. Bill Russell is consensus top3 and wasn't nearly the complete player Kareem or Hakeem were.

With Love as 3rd option offensively and his poor interior defense... he has looked worse than he was.

When he was putting up 30 point 15 rebound games, his lack of interior defense was not the starting point when discussing his impact.

But as of right now, being used as a part time go to guy and stretch 4 mainly.... he looks like David Lee with worse paint hustle... and thats bad.

Lebron James should be playing PF now.
They need a 3D player at SF and SG.... and a two way PG.

Warriors are too versatile.

Frye should be playing more Center to get Bogut outside.

If I was Cavs GM....

C: Frye
PF: James
SF: Demar Carroll
SG: Middleton
PG: Jrue Holiday

would be better than this current Cavs team.. against a team like the Warriors anyways.

if I'm Cleveland I'm shopping Kyrie for Paul this summer and then I'm pulling off a video game move and trading Love for Carmelo.

The Kyrie deal because it makes a lot of basketball sense, the Melo deal because that would be kind of hilarious.
