Anyway, glad we added IT, that tank debate is over.. But the crop of centers in last year's class.. Towns, Porzingis, Okafor, and Jokic (from a prior draft) on the rookie first team, Myles Turner and Cauley-Stein on the second.. Post play could make a comeback.

And i assume you will be trading peanuts for Love, right?

I'm pretty sure that trade is the Melo-Love-#3 swap that is spoken about every now and then so it's not exactly "peanuts."

Love might be at an all-time low in terms of his trade value, but he is still worth considerably more than the #3 pick in this draft. Wiggins was one of the best prospects ever to enter the NBA and they gave up on basically 7 guaranteed years of him. Even a significant drop in value for Love would require both a high draft pick and a good young player to pry him away.

Having watched Wiggins up close for 2 years, you still make that trade 100 out of 100 times. Guy still has the potential to be very good, but thus far doesnt play good team defense, can't pass, rebounds poorly and gets a smei inefficient 20ppg on a bad team.

On Cleveland he'd be sitting behind Smith, getting 8-10 mpg and everyone would be bitching that the Cavs were stupid to not make the trade, as Love were puytting up 25-12 in minny.

GSW are a bad/horible matchup for the Cavs with Love, but 95% of the time their a much better team with him on the floor than off.

If Cavs buck the odds and pull out a win (with love coming off the bench) it'd be a pretty good position to be in deciding wether to keep things as is or dangle him as a trade chip and see what he could bring.

I respect the opinion because you have clearly watched more of Wiggins than I have. However, Wiggins could play like Kwame Brown and it wouldn't change my argument. I'm not attempting to evaluate who won the trade. I am merely pointing out that Wiggins had probably a top 20 trade value in the NBA when he was traded (along with other assets). The #3 pick in this year's draft has nowhere near that value. Even factoring in Love's decline in value and the extenuating circumstances Lebron played in that trade it does not equal out.

tbh, I woulda liked to tank the 14-15 season. Yeah the strong end to the 40-42 season was fun to be a part of, but we missed out. We ended the year 8 -1 in our last 9 games. Say we go 3-6 instead of 8-1, we end 35-47. Which woulda gave us a choice of Winslow (who we all loved), Myles Turner (my personal fav) & Booker (who turned out to be a stud). Imagine Myles Turner to a current group? Instead of Rozier? Would be awesome. But that's in the past. We're still in good shape.

As for the post play, I just think it's underutilized. Not saying teams should revamp their offenses to cater to post play, but just no one post up anymore.

Just a quick list with a look at teams in the east who should use the post more. --
Kevin Love -
Not be a post player, but to put pressure on the d. Plus LJB should be finishing more plays, not making them imo.

Jonas Valanciunas - Tor swears on him being more invovled for 2+ years now. Not Hakeem, but can finish down there. Rather him get another 3-4 fga's down there, instead of Demar chucking off balance long 2's.

Chris Bosh - KG treatment. Good down there, but hates the banging (lol). But if we can draw that double team & just get the shot up on the glass, what easy put backs for Whiteside, maybe an alley pass. Spacing would be tight, but their length would be dope.

Again, not saying these guys are bringing back the post game, but imo they should be used more the talent isn't as good, but it's there. Just underutilized.

That's just speculation. Love's value is at an all time low, and I doubt the Celtics would ever trade the third pick for him. Who knows. Not really sure why you quoted me in the first place. I just pointed out the basis of a rumor that has existed since the deadline because someone was confused.

Better game so far. Love me some ol' fashioned bar fight. No more blowouts please.

So deflating when you play solid D then just keep giving up OREB after OREB.

so, what is the official diagnosis on brons jumper? I'm not buying the physical deterioration argument cause he's still an apex predator out there lol. is it a mental thing? i mean, mechanically, he leans back and fades away too much like im no shot doctor but its obvious. is he just in his own head and like instantly tweaking aspects of his form every time he pulls up for a j? thats what i think anyway. cause man hes hesitating to take shots that he was cash money on a couple years ago and its not like their contested either.

I'm worried (I want a long, good series), Warriors win these grind it out type of games 9/10 times.
