His decline is even more evident in these finals.

Maybe slimming a bit would help him, but his peak is long gone.

Agreed. It looks better when it says he had 25/10/9. In reality, he had 18/10/9.

Tonight...LeBron padded his stats and he's weak minded....he doesn't make any of his teammates better....he's very overrated. Let's see LeBron come back from 3-1....The player that's supposedly better than Jordan was, has made it to a lot of finals. Jordan won a lot of Finals.

In some ways it makes sense (after the first 3 games I mean). He's playing the most MPG, which means he has the largest opportunity to get other stats. He's also often considered the most well-rounded all-around player in the league, meaning he can pick up those points, boards, assists, steals and everything else at above average levels.

Then include the fact that these had (again first 3 games) been blowouts, and Cleveland relies so heavily upon him and he has the greenest of green lights, and it starts to make sense. Other players who excel in different particular statistics (Curry/Thompson with points, T. Thompson with rebounds, etc.) are playing fewer minutes than him, so their ability to rack up those stats is less than they would normally be. Of course it helps that the Splash Bros were off and that LeBron averages a similar amount of assists to Green normally anyway.

Doesn't make it any less impressive that he's been taking on such a load, but it's worth noting that with his overall widespread skillset and most opportunity based off of minutes that it's not overly surprising. It'll be interesting to see if LeBron can win another title with a team constructed in a way that revolves around him so much, and depends on him to carry such a heavy load.

So here are LeBron's Finals stats for his career and for this year. Also shooting percentages and PER. He's actually right around his career averages. This includes G4 stats.

2016 ============> 25/11/8 on 48/31/71 with 26.7 PER === [through Game 4]
Finals career =====> 26/10/7 on 45/33/74 with 25.4 PER

So, he's right about on par with his usual Finals output through 4 games of this 2016 series.
