not sure we want lebron to leave. If he does i'm sure the cavs will win the lotto 5 years in a row "pure luck", not rigged or anything.

Agreed, I'd prefer he sink with the ship, or, at the very least, clutch to a floating piece of drift wood as kate (kevin love) drowns in the ocean. I'd wager Wiggins' potential is the fancy jewel that also sinks in this analogy.

The league calls BS Double Techs for damn near everything confrontational--- but a guy like Draymond Green can goon it up, put himself in a position where he could lose a game for his next tech and the refs change their ENTIRE approach to cater to him.

I don't like the idea of dumb stuff like that determining playoff games, but why even have these rules then? The goalposts are ALWAYS moving in this league and yet the NBA has the nerve to tell us that those aren't actually moving goalposts--- just a weather balloon gone awry. Whatever you say, Adam.

Cleveland's supporting cast is ragged as f, as far contenders go. The make-up of this team doesn't look all that different than the good but not good enough teams that made Lebron bolt to begin with. Frye, Jefferson, Smith, Thompson, Delladova, Shumpert, Mozgov... Gonna need a better superstar trio than Love, Irving and a declining Lebron to make that work. Not sure if never being seriously challenged as the cream of the EC all year is a great prep for a title run. They got the reality check they needed from GS but instead of using that to prep for these very finals, the opportunity was used instead to dump blame on the HC for a culture that was ultimately and still is Lebrons creation. Dumb move.

You can't afford to short out on a bench and contributing role players if you want to win a title. Stars are a prerequisite to get there but I don't recall too many teams with this kind of fall-off in talent of depth hoisting the trophy either. To win with this team would've required Lebron to still be prime Lebron and Love to be as good as everyone supposed he was. Realistically you can't be putting all that weight on your three best players to be that good to beat a team like GS, or even a team who isn't as good as GS.

The double techs are absurd and unnecessary, same with double fouls, same with the leagues interpretation of flagrant fouls, but I think the refs as far as high stakes series like finals of conference finals are more inclined to not make a controversial call under the massive scrutiny and spotlight. just as a means to save their own ass more so than whatever the right call should be. It's got to be tough to be in a position to bully players and coaches whenever they feel like it all year then be under a microscope between the best team in the league and a moody as ever Lebron James. This is where Joey Crawford actually made things interesting because that crazy bastard would at least unleash some superstar calls of his own to balance out the action.

Bron was more goonish than Draymond, and looked like the instigator. Technicality aside I thought they used proper judgment there.
