If the ball doesn't touch the rim and it's all net, should it be worth an extra 2 points?

I guess no one in this thread has heard of sensors.

I think the idea is ridiculous but if implemented then it would have sensors around the inside of the rim so no replay necessary.

And by 2030 we'll have players playing with jetpacks and hovering rims.

It'll be fun seeing a 7 point play.

Consider how much people whine and cry about unintentional bank shots, there's definitely a sect of fans who care about how the ball goes in.

No, because one can argue that "trick shots" or "lucky bounces" are most impressive, and thus they should be worth more. Who cares about a swish? You care if the ball goes in the hole. The NBA should not change the game because of Stephen Curry.

This thread makes me wish we had MORE Draymond Green threads.

That's how bad it is.

This is on par with the guy that said that the NBA should move back the 3 point line because it's too easy for curry

Or rims that extend up to 20' if a player wants to try a 10 pointer. The player will be able to move the rim up through mind control.

The only realistic way I see a 4 point play happening is if a goal tending shot goes in after its called but I doubt they'd ever do that either.

Off the expressway, off the billboard, off the wall, off the scoreboard, nothing but net = game over.

They should put two hoops on each baseline and let you score on either.

Well to be fair I don't think this would have to be reviewed or something the refs would call, they could easily implement some technology in the rim to determine this.

Still a bad idea.
