Re: What Suns forum were you born in?
I started posting on ESPN back in like... '97. I rememeber chap, GMAT, sunsbum and bw from there. I suspect Suns2k is probably lurking somewhere on forums but I gotta believe he grew out of the insane way he used to post. He was bonkers, multiple times he asked for my real address, supposedly so he could send me bank statements to prove how rich he was.

Were you always named "phrazbit"? Granted, my memory is pretty crappy nowadays, but I don't remember your user name back on ESPN. To be honest, the only one I remember was Sunscat, who ended up changing his name on .net eventually.

I remember him as phrazbit on espn. But I started on there in like 05 and don't remember seeing him as much until a lot of the crowd left, so it seems like he showed up in more like '97 was awfully early to be on an espn forum....I don't even know they had them way back then.

It was somewhere in the late 90s, what originally drew me to them was the NCAA Tournament stuff. You used to be able to see your account start date on there but I cannot find it anymore...
Anyway, I was in college, didn't have a lot of time for posting around '05, but I was around enough to know Suns2k was a whack job, GMAT would post 2000 word essays and a guy named, I think Sunsguns, would cause all sorts of trolls to show up on our board because he'd been talking crap all over theirs.
Its really too bad all that stuff isn't archived on there. Especially during the summers I was very active.

It become a forum thing to ask any "insider" if they'd been splitting half bottles of wine with FO employees. Pretty funny stuff and possibly the worst/most obvious internet lie I've ever seen.
That must have been before or after I was on espn..most likely before because I was on there for a little while after the forum format change, which was awful. I don't think I started posting on that forum until about 2005 though.
... it was during and after the playoffs in 2006. You were around, but maybe not during that specific period—either that or it just escaped your memory.
The funniest part was when someone did a mock version of meeting Eddie House in a Taco Bell and sending him half a cup of Hawaiian punch soda or something like that.

I remember Phrazy frome espn fo sho. My memory is so bad i wish I could remember some of the stories you guys are talking about. Do you guys remember that psycho sunsman44 or some ****? He like asked the board for money because...i cant remember why but he was a nutbag.
I think i remember dragging my Joe Johnson jersey behind a truck then spinning out the tires on it...I think i postededed a picture of that on espn boards. I was pretty upset aout losing jj lol. Especially because me and his mom became buddies...not delonte west style though.

Re: What Suns forum were you born in?
I used to post on ESPN before they changed it to Facebook format. I remember discussing the Eric Gordon "signing" with hornet's/pelicans fans there one time. They insisted if we wanted Eric Gordon we would have to trade picks.. they didn't understand we already signed him to an offer sheet and trading was no longer an option, it was match the offer or let him walk. There were definitely a lot more casual fans on ESPN that just spouted non sense

Funny thing is the main reason I remember you is because you talked about your JJ bobblehead after he left and what to do with it or something like that and showing pictures of it.

I never type LOL because I think it was vastly overused and people say it when it isn't true, but in this case it is.

I posted on ESPN back in the early 2000's but posted more on the bucks board. I grew up in Wisconsin but moved here in 2002 and it took me a few years before I became a suns guy. Still consider myself an equal bucks and suns fan. I'm a basketball polygamist

Think there was a forum similar to RealGM called InsideHoops?
All I remember was everything came back to kids posting Kobe being the GOAT lol.
As for Phoenix Suns, I read BOTS, some of it was a bit too fandom, as I like reading analysis alot more.

Re: What Suns forum were you born in?
I used to talk a lot of ball on ESPN back when the Suns were good. I also think I might have posted here, but I was pretty young at the time and don't even remember old e-mail addresses much less screen names. I started getting a lot more serious about playing basketball right around the time that we started declining, so I stopped posting online until I quit playing.
More recently, I started posting on /r/nba and /r/suns, but I started reading around here a bit and thought people here knew more about basketball and put more effort into their posts, so I've been hanging around here more.

I was obsessed with that place. It was extremely active during the Nash era and a total blast during our playoff runs. I live on the east coast, so forums are my only real outlet to vent and celebrate.
After Nash left, the forum began to lose participation and soon enough, it was just a handful of posters.
I'd come here and you can chat whenever you want due to the high number of posters so I eventually stopped posting there and made this my new home.
I hardly post here but visit every day to read news and opinions and enjoy it.
Yeah Same i was at PSD from like maybe 2008? to 2014 (I think). It had a gradual decline after Nash left and now its a ghost town.
i definitely remember you, pretty sure you were a mod? and you made all our game threads. Anyway im kinda the same as you i just read these forums now and post here once in a blue moon.

What did you get banned for doing?
for being an ****, I assume. I don't remember exactly. Time heals all wounds.

Unless there was someone else with a similar name, I think you were scotsman13.
