I think he does after that tweet. He deleted it almost immediately. Besides Warriors said they would match any contract for Barnes therefore we are waisting our time and holding up our cap space.

I've only read the first two responses so far in this thread about Boston being rumored to be after Barnes in FA (we are mentioned in article as well), but it appears their fans would, for the most part from what I've seen so far, NOT be happy if they went after Barnes.

I do wonder who most of their fan base would prefer to get in a deal involving the 3rd pick though. Love, Butler or Okafor?

Assuming the Cavaliers do not come back and win the championship, there will inevitably be rumors about Love getting traded. I could see the Suns getting involved in a three team trade where the Suns send some package revolving around Knight, Tucker, and Chandler to the Cavs, Love goes to the Celtics, and the Suns get back the third pick. That trade pretty much gets every team what they want. The Cavaliers get players that probably fit their team makeup better than Love does. The Celtics get Love who they have been after for a while. And Suns move on from their two point guard lineup and older role players that do not fit the direction of the team and get another top pick.

Funny you mention that because I was just thinking the Cavs should try to do a 3 way deal where Love goes to Boston, Butler goes Cleveland, and Chicago gets the 3. Of course in this case Boston would have to prefer Love to Butler but with the current make up of their team, they might.

Wow I do not think the Bulls would want to send Butler to the Cavs and have him paired with Lebron. The thought of Lebron and Butler together with Irving sounds pretty awesome. I think if Butler is traded, the Bulls might prefer to trade him out of the conference assuming they can get a package they like.

Yeah, they might have a hard time doing that. But if they are trading Butler for the 3 they are likely going to rebuild and LeBron probably is entering the downside of his career and the would build around their pick, Portis, McDermott, etc. They would probably want more coming back then just the 3 though.

Has Meyers Leonard from the Blazers been discussed? People were excited about him going into the season, and then he didn't do so well, and then had serious shoulder surgery in March/April that's supposed to sideline him for 6-8 months. My understanding is he doesn't defend much but has 50/40/90 potential as a 7-foot stretch-4. With his injury and him being one of several RFAs on the Blazers, maybe we could steal him away on a bargain deal. Seems like a McD-type signing. If he could be a Channing Frye redux, that'd be nice to have on the roster. He and Watson were on the Blazers together but he didn't play much that year.

Nice call...forgot how good of a shooter he is. Now I'd much rather throw money at that type of guy as opposed to Barnes. Not max money, but enough to potentially dissuade them from matching. They'd probably match it though. I guess it also depends on who we end up with in the draft.

Please, NO.

Leonard doesn't understand the game, he is mechanical and slow. End of the bench player IMO.

This. I had high hopes for him last season, but he fails to deliver.
