He actually said a LeBron with a consistent J would have been the GOAT on his twitter yesterday.

I am still not confident in LeBron's jumper coming back for 2 more games unlike 2013 where he was a good shooter the whole year. If it does though they just might pull it off.

I'm still not entirely sold on Lebron this series, though everyone else seems to be. For me, this game said more about Draymond Green than it did Lebron James. The paint defense was awful tonight for GS, and Iggy was sagging further off of Lebron than in the first four games (at least in the first half) . Iggy's distance probably helped Lebron find his rhythm from outside.

It's possible that he really is heating up. It's possible that he really has found his jumpshot. But... I guess I'm just a bit of a pessimist at this point. I really want to see Lebron win one in Cleveland.

Yeah, he's been critiquing LeBron along the same lines we've been doing all season/series. And I obviously don't disagree with him.

Agreed that the 3 days of rest is huge for the Cavs. Lebron needs it, might not be a coincidence that he struggled in game 4 with only 2 days off.

Biggest lesson of this game for him: TAKE AND MAKE OPEN **** JUMPERS. He looked confident with his stroke tonight, and that goes a long way.

10 million fans trash (3 day's rest) is another man's (LeBron's) treasure.

Because of the cross country travel after going away from 2-3-2. It does create a void but I am all for players in the Finals getting rest.

What is haralabob's opinion on James? Does he do all-time lists or something?

I'd imagine it's not that high, but his reasoning behind would be interesting

No, he's pretty high on James actually. He think that James with a more consistent J would have been the GOAT.

Loves like that guy who does next to no work on a project with two other ppl doing 95% of it, and he tries to come together with a big grin and satisfied with his input lol.

In other news, Andrew Wiggins outplayed Kevin Love in this game.

He's a huge fan. He doesn't really talk a lot about historic comps or all time lists, but he's very appreciative of LeBron's talent and IQ. Earlier this season he was still saying he would choose LeBron over Curry. Changed his mind around the new year or so I believe. When he does critique, it's usually stuff similar to what we do in this thread (trolls aside), like jumper and stuff.

I think coming from him, that's indictment and not praise though.

Alright folks, time for the real questions now.

Considering the stakes...best T-shirt game ever? Kyrie #2?
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

What? To me that is a pretty huge compliment. He basically thinks that if Bron had been able to maintain his jumper from the 2013, 2014 conversation he would possibly be the GOAT. Not sure I follow you :-?.

He's also been very complimentary of James' game on twitter and his pods with Simmons...

Oh sorry, I was reading through his twitter and he said there were tons of players who didn't have his physique that were able to develop a jumper.

That's what I was referring to when I wrote it. So yeah, it's still pretty high praise for him but the follow-up is kinda meh. It's clear he's appreciative though from your comments, will have to listen to more of him on specific players

He's not wrong though. A lot of players have been able to develop consistent jumpers in their careers. We all thought James had done it too and showed it in 2 consistent seasons in 13, 14 only to regress pretty badly. It is perplexing.
