When Bynum got hurt bad the 1st time landing on Odom's foot i was so damn sad. When Kobe wrecked his other knee with his stupid overexaggerated slide to draw a foul i damn near cried. Two serious injuries in such a short period of time for a big man is an athletic death sentence. His growth from lotto pick to all star was as Dock said one of the most enjoyable things to have watched as a Laker fan. However we traded him at the perfect time, his knees were shot and we traded expiring contracts for a dominant C that too was coming off health concerns.

There's no way any Laker can possbily talk **** about Bynum. He gave our team alot and netting DHo on the way out is a helluva parting gift. Not his fault that the FO couldnt resign DHo or trade him when it was obvious he wasnt gonna stick around due to clashing egos with Kobe.

Best center in the NBA back in 2012, easily. He was our best player during that season along with Kobe.

Bynum was never better than Dwight at any point. Dwight also put that to rest when they played. I dont like Dwight more than the next man but the idea that Bynum was a better NBA player than him is stupid. Only thing Bynum could do better was shoot FT and actually had a solid touch on a hook shot but so does Roy Hibbert.

Bynum also had an elite back to the basket post up game which Howard could only dream of ever possessing, so a bit off to say the only thing he did better than Howard was shoot FTs

Although every single person considered Howard a step ahead of Bynum, Bynum was always way better offensively with his back to the basket.

Guys I think about Bynum a lot, if he stayed healthy, we could have won some more chips. I remember when he first got injured, Kobe had slid and messed up Bynum's knee in a game.

I am wondering if that incident is what caused Bynum to have knee issues. Because if it was, Kobe must realize that he probably cost himself 2 rings.

Memories serves right, Bynum played pretty damn well against Howard in 1 on 1 match ups.

I think people let Bynum's off the court antics skew their views of him. He had a great offensive game, especially for a young guy. He also played injured in two finals for us and without him, very unlikely there's 2 championships.

Yea that's fine but he wasn't better or a more impactful player. Melo has a better one on one scoring arsenal than Lebron but Lebron is still much more effective offensively than Melo has ever been. Dwight in his prime led a team to the finals, you put Bynum at his best on that 09 Magic team and they lose in the 1st round.
