Will the worst mass shooting in modern US history make players not want to come to Orlando? They might fear more attacks, unsafe city, etc...
Also, if anyone reading this thread lost someone that night, my condolences for your loss

Like I said in the speculation thread (aka where this discussion belongs)...if Chicago is still home to major sports franchises, we won't be affected. Otherwise, teams would have relocated from Chiraq years ago.

I really think this thread is in bad taste. Not trying to get on a soap box or attack anyone, but I honestly wouldn't want people coming by this page to see this thread up. I've seen posts asking this question and just choose not to engage in the talk, but seeing a thread about it is a bit much.

There is a difference between one off events like the Pulse shooting and a pattern of crime and violence. Only fools would let fear of a single event sway their decision. I mean nobody likes NYC because of 911 right?

If it has any bearing on a free agent's decision, then I probably don't want that free agent. Would be such an illogical reason to avoid Orlando.

Re: Does the terrorist attack @ pulse affect free agency?
Very, very unlikely.
The terrorist attacks of 9/11 targeted New York City, Washington D.C., and Arlington, VA. None of the sports teams in those respective areas had a noticeable change in free agency signings.
The same can be said for the Boston Marathon bombings, and other terrorist attacks that have occurred in or near cities that host professional sports teams.
