It could be worse I guess. We could package the 4 and the 13 to move up to 3 and THEN still take Dunn. I'm really flabbergasted by this mock, why in the world would they think we'd take Dunn given who he is, who we have, his health and the fact he doesn't want to play for us.

That has to be the single worst mock draft I've seen yet. Most of the picks have literally zero sense.

Philly and LA is on point.
Boston needs shooting.
Suns trade for Okafor?
Chriss and KAT front court could be devastating
NO needs shooting, most mocks have them taking Hield.
Den: Bender is BPA
Sac: Doesn't make sense
Toronto: BPA

I'll bite. Bender is:

7'1"
Very fast and quick for his size
Great passer (outlet, post, and wing)
Great motor
His shot is developing nicely
Quick hands
Gives 100% on D
Can take people off the dribble and slash!

After watching all his available tape, he looks like he could play 4-5 at the NBA level and maybe even develop into a HUGE 3 ala KD. Guys with that combination of speed, size, vision, coordination, and raw effort just don't come along every day. If the Celtics pass on him at #3, they will regret it. Someone posted this earlier and it sums him up pretty well IMO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0Epg_sBZq4

Man I hope we take Dunn just to see this board having another monumental meltdown. With that alone McD would win me back over

I still can't bang the drum enough for Hernangomez at #13.

Size, speed, shooting, plays above the rim. This guy is the real deal. I still think he might be the best PF prospect in this draft. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Magic, Bucks, or Raps took him before us.

I also think he's going to be good. I like what I've seen of his tape and what I've read. I can only go off of most mocks that had him in the late 20's range but if you think he's going to be better than Ellenson or Skal or whoever, why not take him at #13? I have no problem with that. Unless he isn't ready to come over and I read that might be a possibility.

I have seen him enough to understand that his athleticism is not even on an average NBA level. He is decent, but he doesn't play above the rim on a constant basis by any means.

He is skilled and knows how to play, but there are better options than him at #13 in this draft. I would be happy with him at #28.

Got it. Can you then please tell me who we play at PF this season? That's the question not a single person has answered for me. You tell me who we start at PF, and I'll be on the BPA train.

Len? Teletovic? Tucker? Dwight Powell? Terrence Jones? Domantas Sabonis? Are we in a 'title or bust' position next year? Hell, maybe it's Bender. Im not saying DONT draft a PF, especially if you (Suns FO) thinks they are BPA. My comment simply has to do with acquiring somebody who is good, who happens to be the same 'position' as somebody we already have. I would apply the same logic to free agency or trades.

Since everyone always brings up BPA, how do you define that? McDs gut on: Best player now? Best player in the long run? Best player for the next 9 years?

What if he has tiers where he thinks a tier of guys all rank around the same. Then what would you do? Think about things like team fit, needs, character, bbiq, etc?

My thoughts are less about identifying a defined BPA, but more about NOT writing a guy off because he might be similar to someone you already have. Especially when we're talking about wings, easily the most interchangeable positions on the court. If we're being real, most lineups now consist of a PG, 3 wings, and a big, so having one of those wings in place really shouldn't cause you to pass another one up in favor of a lesser player, especially when your team in still in the building phase. Sure, we'd all like to have a lineup of 5 guys over 6'6" who don't sacrifice any athleticism/skills with their size, but that's not very realistic, and the hopes of that happening don't need to make you pass on a good player who is 6'5". I'm really not advocating a Murray/Hield pick over someone like Bender/Chriss, I'm simply talking about a principle that I think needs to not be so quickly brought up all the time.

How do you guys feel about Skal? Personally I feel like he is similar to Chriss but I wanted to hear the opinion of others.

According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, the Sixers "absolutely love" Providence point guard Kris Dunn, who stands 6-foot-4, 220 pounds and is expected to be a top-10 pick.

The obvious trade chip is power forward Jahlil Okafor, who has been rumored to be very available this offseason, and is viewed as the player most likely to be traded during the draft should the Sixers make a move for a second top-10 pick. Q

I would love to see Jah end up in NO with Davis. That's a nasty front court.

Mock draft don't take trades into account. If Boston wants shooting they'll pick Murray, not Hield.
There's no way Suns take a guy who doesn't even want to be here with Bender, Chriss and Brown on the board (Murray also).
Minnesota likes four guys, Chriss is not one of them.
Pelicans pick is fine, so is Denver.
Sacramento taking Sabonis makes no sense at all, but hey, it's the Kings.
Jaylen is terrible fit in Toronto, but I guess he is BPA there although I don't think that's how Raptors operate.

Who would you prefer at 13? Funny I came out with the opposite impression. I saw a promising dive man with enough bounce to finish in traffic with authority and a surprising ability to get to the line/absorb contact
