I really wish he would stop taking free kicks. He barely ever gets it over the wall.

I wish he'd stop with his stupid free kick routine. Our drunken commentator once said he looks like a giraffe that just gave birth.

For a guy supposedly so greedy for success you would think that he would at least somewhat change his free kick routine to be more accurate.

I mean after years of doing it with the giraffe birth technique (as Rasho called it) even Ronaldo himself must've noticed that he doesn't find the net very often that way. It's not like curving it over the wall into the goal is that difficult since they introduced the vanishing spray.

"I thought they'd won the Euros the way they celebrated at the end, it was unbelievable.

"When they don't try to play and just defend, defend, defend this in my opinion shows a small mentality and are not going to do anything in the competition."

What a d*ck.

Reason why some people don't like Ronaldo.

I went to the Hungary Austria match. Was glad to see Fuchs. Arnowhatever is a grumpy cheat, he has some skill but no team ethos - he shouted at all his team mates in a negative way and that was before the team went behind. I hear that he's told Stoke he wants to leave and play CL football. He'd better hope that Arsenal want him because he doesn't have the work ethic or team spirit to play for Leicester or Spurs. I guess he could join Man U for europa league football but again Klopp wouldn't take him for Liverpool.

Overall Austria didn't play like a team and hinteregger gave the ball away a lot. I wasn't impressed with either team but at least the Hungarian support was vociferous.

Enjoyed watching Iceland hold the portuguese. Ronaldo is class but it's great to see his bitchy side when things don't go his way.

Carvalho should have been off for some cynical dirty fouls.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

It's extremely rich for Ronaldo to complain about how Iceland celebrated such a meaningful result for them, given the ostentatious and often ludicrous in-your-face way he celebrates genuinely meaningless goals when Real are just adding another to a pummelling of vastly inferior-resourced sides like Malmo, Getafe or Levante. With the way he reacts to those -- to use the player's own phrase against him -- you would think he had won the Spanish title. That is still something he has barely done, managing it just once in seven years.

ouch

Portugal didn't fail because of Ronaldo. It was a tactical mistake.

Danilo is a good player defending, but on offense he produces absolutely nothing. William should have been there.

With a team that has so many defenders Ronaldo and Nani shouldn't be the only two strikers. Quaresma was injured, so Eder (as bad as he is, he was the only striker left) should have been in the 1st 11. The only header Ronaldo got was when Eder was playing, because defenders also have to pay attention to him.

André Gomes and João Mário shouldn't be the wingers even when playing in 4-4-2. If one of them is in the wing, the other wing has to have a more offensive player. Rafa should have played.

So basically I'd go with a 4-3-3 scheme (William, João Mário and Adrien in midfield, with Ronaldo, Nani and Eder).
