Still not playing Vardy the way they should though. Early balls into the channel for him to run onto - letting Wales get 9 or 10 men in the box is not playing to his strengths.

Walker and Sturridge MOTM, imo

Good impact by Vardy and Rashord too, finally some good subs

Walker or Rooney for me.

I don't agree with Rashford. He really did very little.

Be interesting to see who he starts against Slovakia.

Lallana had a good first half. Surely Sterling is finished, maybe Kane goes to the bench too and we go with Vardy, Sturridge and Lallana.

TBH it should be 6 points from 6.

We were clearly the better team in both games but we didn't know how to put the chances away.

Ah yeah, I forgot about Rooney. He was immense, I like him in that deeper role.

Rashford had some nice take-ons, despite a few flubs. He also can actually beat players unlike Sterling. I think Kane would be fine if he got the service, but his confidence looks a bit shot. We'll see how we line-up. It would be great to win the group and play a third place team, if only we held on against Russia.

Rashford is a talent but he's raw, he's great when he doesn't have time to think.

Kane is a very good striker but Woy has messed him up.

You're a Spurs fan - you wouldn't ever have Kane taking the FKs or corners would you? You wouldn't believe me if I said against a crap Russian team he wouldn't even have a shot inside the box would you? IMO Kane's weakness is his lack of speed, he can't press from the front, his strength is that he knows how to put the ball in the net given the opportunity. He hasn't been put in the position to do that.

I'm sure Woy will start Kane against Slovakia, I think he's wrong. Kane and Vardy in a 2 upfront is the best setup but that's evidently never happening.

I really don't understand England's lineup.
Just use a 4-3-1-2 with Rooney behind Kane and Vardy.

But let the strikers up the middle not push them wide like wingers and have Rooney through the middle as happened last time.

It's not important.
On defense the 2 striker should press the opposing CB/FB, on offense you use Vardy (right side) and Rooney (left side) wider if it is a counterattack otherwise use Rooney as AMF.

Goalscorers put themselves in the right position. Still you've ridiculed Leicester players for the last few months I guess it's difficult to admit you got it wrong even watching Kanté and Vardy this week.

I think turkey should hold a Euro style tournament for Turks only, they're just too damn good to be in the same tournament as the likes of England and France. The trophy would be regarded as higher than anything mankind has made.

Vardy just can't stop scoring, how he hasn't been starting all along is beyond me. England doesn't have anyone that can do what he does, Kane is alright but shouldn't be starting ahead of him.

The amount of extra flack England and Turkey are receiving because of HIF and Massi's disputes is immense

He takes the occasional FK, but usually when it's very close or Eriksen isn't playing. And yeah I would keep him well away from corners.

For Spurs, Kane has actually pressed from the front a lot, and he's actually normally very good at it (we scored quite a few goals from Kane hassling defenders and winning possession). I think the poor end to Spurs' season where he struggled after the Chelsea game has carried over, and he's trying too hard and ignoring the basics. The lad needs to keep his head up and focus on the team game, and I would be okay with dropping him and using him as a super sub for England.

There was a point at the end of last season where he just stopped looking for his team mates and started shooting every time he got the ball, almost like an anxiety about the golden boot. He needs to forget the individual accolades and start looking for his team mates again.

I'd say Walker, Rooney and Lallana for MOTM, every good attack came down that right hand side and every time we lost the ball it was on the left. And Rooney just bossed that midfield, he was spraying passes for fun.

All of the subs had a great impact, Sturridge especially who basically played the role Kane should've done but with effect.

Safe to say Walker is the best RB of this tournament so far.

It was a true goalscorers goal. Instinctively he put himself in a place of danger and then put the chance away. Hitting a free kick from 30 yards is skilled but planned and "easy".
