Easy no, no doubt. There are only two centers in the league that are better than Drummond. That's Cousins and Towns. Drummond as of now has lead his team to the Playoffs and Cousins could not. Absolutely easy no for me. There are only a handful of players that I'd trade for Drummond and it'll never happen so I won't bother mentioning them. It's pathetic how much people undervalue this man.

Avery Bradley, Olynyk and those picks, I'd do it for just the picks though.

Hell No!

Even with KO included

Drummond is THE piece SVG built around, the sun in our universe.

You don't block out the sun cause you like the darkness!

Our future is bright enough without the illusion of hope lotsa picks can bring...

Enjoy what is real as opposed to hoping for what might come to pass

I think Silver is going to take major steps to legislate out the "hack-a" strategy this offseason. If that's eliminated or mitigated and Dray takes another step forward as a rim protector, he would be exactly what you want out of the center spot in the current NBA, leaving us in the position of only needing a dominant perimeter player (help us Stanley Johnson, you're our only hope) to be a legitimate conference champion contender.

In the NBA you don't trade star level players for quantity unless you don't have options. Dray being "expensive' will not limit us from any moves. His free throw woes being either litigated out or solved by actually making them is the only thing holding him back from super stardom. He's still very capable of becoming a 20-15-3 guy out of the center spot.

My guess is they'd reject it overwhelmingly, even the basic package with none of the throw-ins.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

#3
#16
#23
2017 BKN 1st
2018 BKN 1st
2019 MEM 1st (or whenever conveyed)
Marcus Smart
Kelly Olynyk

I would have to say YES. #3 is going to be a starter, and BKN's swaps are likely top 10 picks that should be starters as well. And Olynyk could start as a stretch 5. And we could sign Dwight Howard for a couple of years to get us by.

That type of offer is something you would see proposed for someone like Davis or Towns. On the other hand that is the type of offer it would take for us to move him but it's not something other teams wouldn't laugh at being proposed.

If Boston wants Drummond they need to give up way more than just picks

To Boston: Drummond, #18, Hilliard, Meeks

To Detroit:
Gallinari, Nurkic, Faried, Nelson
Crowder
2017 + 2018 Brooklyn 1sts

To Denver:
#3, #16, #23, Tobias, Baynes

Then we max out Whiteside and extend KCP

Reggie / Nelson
KCP / Stanley
Gallinari / Crowder
Mook / Faried
Whiteside / Nurkic

We'd still have both Brooklyn picks and our own picks in 2017 + 2018 to package for an all star

The thought of people having to actually defend Dre in the 4th quarter instead of using a cop out exploit sounds so good.

Snakebites pretty much nailed it. The valuation would be great for Detroit. But, it would have the team taking a few steps back into a lottery team, which the Pistons would not be okay with.
