I don't see anyone who helps much next season. With no glaring holes in our lineup i think it'd be a good year to take a eurostash.

I'm okay with a project nbdl type big man too. Someone who could potentially take hawes minutes in two years when he comes off the books.

Normally I'd say just go boom or bust but everyone looks like a bust to me.

Has anyone seen any of the advanced stats predictions based on translated college stats? I guess everyone saving them for after the finals

So here's the complete list of guys we worked out, divided up by their projected round via DX. As it were, no one we actually worked out are currently found in their first round or top 30 of the big board. Though Tyler Ulis, who backed out of our workout, is mocked in the top 20; the next highest ranked player is Patrick McCaw, whom DX has as the 31st ranked prospect.

If memory serves, every draft pick from the Cho era aside from Vonleh worked out for us. Though Vonleh was scheduled, he then canceled because he thought he would go ahead of us. So it's worth remembering Ulis along with the rest of these.

2nd round prospects (11)
Anthony ‘Cat’ Barber (N.C. State)
Joel Bolomboy (Weber State)
Malcolm Brogdon (Virginia)
Isaiah Cousins (Oklahoma)
AJ Hammons (Purdue)
Thon Maker (Australia)
Patrick McCaw (UNLV)
Chinanu Onuaku (Louisville)
Wayne Selden (Kansas)
Diamond Stone (Maryland)
Stephen Zimmerman Jr. (UNLV)

Other Top 100 prospects (4)
Marcus Paige (North Carolina)
Marshall Plumlee (Duke)
Tim Quarterman (LSU)
Kyle Wiltjer (Gonzaga)

Undrafted prospects (21)
Nathan Boothe (Toledo)
Montay Brandon (Florida State)
John Brown (High Point)
Michael Carrera (South Carolina)
Matt Costello (Mich St)
Rashun Davis (Radford)
Frank Eaves (App St)
Patricio Garino (George Washington)
Anthony Gill (Virginia)
Joel James (UNC)
Melvin Johnson (VCU)
Jake Layman (Maryland)
Charles Mann (Georgia)
Isaiah Miles (Saint Joseph’s)
Codi Miller-McIntyre (Wake Forest)
Ty Newman (Livingstone College)
Retin Obasohan (Alabama)
Goodluck Okonoboh (UNLV)
Angel Rodriguez (Miami)
Adam Smith (Georgia Tech)
Mike Tobey (Virginia)

to me, it certainly looks like the hornets used the workout time to look at filling out the d-league roster. lots of semi-local guys and guys they can pluck from free agency. not saying it is an indication they won't keep the pick but probably a combination of that and the way agents aren't allowing players to workout within their "mock" ranges. they all want them working out with teams above the range for appearances.

Didn't Cho say that we did? Just that it never got out. Seems like our solo workouts are kept pretty quiet aside from Zeller.

A lot of them are probably Swarm prospects, but a few others like Stone, Maker, Brogdon, Hammons, etc. are almost certainly under consideration at 22.

Unsurprisingly, lots of flowery quotes from Brogdon after his workout.

I don't think there is any question that he'd be a great fit from a culture and team defense perspective. Just seems like we are at a point as a franchise where we can start taking some risks on high end talent. Buy back in for Brogdon or LeVert in the 2nd, but I'm leaning one of Zubac / Zizic / Jones or hell even Thon at 22.
