Fastest time from #1 pick to NBA Title?

The Cavs picked first overall in 2014, and are the 2016 Champions. How many times has that been done or surpassed?

1980 Lakers won immediately after picking Magic. Ditto 1981 Celtics after trading it for #3 (McHale) and Parish. But neither was their own pick. And that Spurs pick required some dirty tanking to the point of cheating.

Yup. Magic Johnson was with Jazz's pick. The only time the Jazz get a #1 pick, and it's for the Lakers to get Magic freaking Johnson. lol

And that was for an old Gail Goodrich. Jazz gave away the pick two years straight for Maravich as well Hawks took David Thompson. SMH

The Bucks with Alcindor.

Drafted for the 69-70 season. Won it in the 70-71 season.

The Bucks won it in their 3rd year of existance.

This surpasses the Cavs.

SMH at the Jazz for the Maravich trade? That makes no sense, Maravich was much better.

Pretty amazing that a franchise peaked in year 3 of it's 47 year existence.

If you exclude Bennett.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

I'd like to see the fastest time from title to number one pick.
