Re: Around the NBA Thread 2016-17
Kerr needs to take some big time criticism, he let his team play cocky all season and it ultimately cost them the title. Deep 3's and fancy passes in a championship game?

This is an epic collapse from the Warriors. Can't remember any team falling off so quickly as they did. In February, they were the greatest team in history, in May, they were down 3-1 to OKC.
I'm sick to my stomach right now.
I have you beat. I never turned it on. lebron is so loathsome I refuse to watch him in the playoffs. Had the finals been GSW vs Toronto, I would have watched every second.

I don't like LeBron, but not on this day.
Congratulations to him and Cleveland.

Handsome.

Does it the right way and I'm happy for him.
You're kidding, right?
Maybe he needs MJ's marketing team.
But dude plays unselfish, and isn't a world-class a-hole like MJ, Kobe, etc...

lebron is very much a world-calls a-hole.

Speaking of which, when did lebron go back to #23? Didn't he say that should be retired for Jordan?

Side note. Paul Pierce was the only one in the studio that called Cavs to win at first and even today. What a guy

He went back to it when he returned to Cleveland. Must be so that the few people who didn't burn his old jersey could still wear it without having to buy a new one with a new number. Such a great guy..lol

He announced his number change to 6 when he was in Cleveland..but he likely had full intentions of going to Miami at that point where 23 is retired for Jordan. He probably didn't really mean what he said honestly. I actually remember that the first source of true speculation for Lebron going to Miami was when he announced his number change. The reasoning was always odd considering he changed it to Dr J and Russell's number.

Lebron was loved in Cleveland, despised when he left(for all the right reasons) and now loved again. Just like pro wrestling. Pro wrestling can be realistic.

Paul Pierce witnessed first hand the greatness of LeBron. He saw what he did in that game 7 against us basically ALONE with that **** Cavs team in 2008. He saw what he did to us in game 6 in 2012. Hard to bet against that.

Jesus Christ, people rating Lebron over Russell. Thus once again, Celtics and fans alike are continually disrespected by these mother **** who don't respect history.

Re: Around the NBA Thread 2016-17
Once Bogut went down even though he isn't the same sort of player that he once was, I thought Cavs had a great chance. Green was a fool to do something stupid enough to give the NBA an opportunity to suspend him.
Green was brilliant in this game but the 4 other Warrior starters weren't and the bench didn't save the day. Curry made a few too many ill advised passes and both Curry/Klay had good enough looks to hit a couple more shots each. Lebron made some amazing plays on D and Kyrie for large segments carried the Cavs on offense. Both teams didn't shoot well in this game but obviously played hard on d.
The best thing about this game is it wasn't decided by Iggy's injury or the refs calling a horrible game and/or having no control over the gam. Iggy may not have been 100% but at least he wasn't 50% like he looked in game 6.
Huge clutch 3 by Kyrie after cooling off a bit. Love after not playing well in the series battled hard and made some nice plays.

I'm so glad the NBA didn't do that. **** retiring a number for someone that didn't even play for our franchise. Absurd the NHL did that for Gretsky. Jackie Robinson is obviously an exception.

Ooooooooooo look a dude with steriods behind a keyboard, are you a Lebron worshipper 'Money? You think I need my man card punched by you? Boy, step to the rear, you must be soft as your brain if you going to let anyone step over you and put their d*ick all up in your face. Lebron started that whole "conflict" on purpose, to Green's credit he beasted and aside from a swipe he made the King look like a f★ck boy. I actually give credit to Lebron for trying to instigate, but then to lobby the league for 2 games. Whiny a$$ punk. I'm sure you must commiserate. Gift wrapped with a bow. Draymond ate Lebron for lunch in the series. If Curry could have shown up for one game, Lebron would be crying for different reasons. You bandwagon fans are all the same, jump to the flavor of the moment, Hey, Lebron congrats, you brought one to Cleveland, Kyrie was the MVP, and they should give J.R. Smith a bump for diving into Bogut's knee. Punk b*tches man winning titles. Enjoy Punk b*tches.

Paul needs to stay on TV, I want to see a segment for him called "The Truth" where he drops some cold hard criticism. Maybe he could replace Shaq?

Happens in rugby and league all the time. I don't understand why people are so sensitive over that in a competitive sports game.

Really? I love Scal. I see Paul as more of a studio guy than in the booth. Hope we throw him in there as a guest to give him a shot, if he doesn't immediately get a new job.
