I'd have a beer with Harrison for sure, seems like a nice guy, but I really do hope he has played his last game as a Warrior.

Good Riddance. I just hope we can swing a future pick/trade exception in a S&T even though it's unlikely.

Talking about me or the troll that is obviously just trolling the board? I never said he was worth the max. He was 3-10 and scored his average in the biggest game of the year. He was awful in the previous 2. He was part of the reason we didn't win the title. Maybe next year there will be a different scapegoat when Steph and Klay don't show up. Well done draymond. Heart of a champion. Too bad Steph and Klay didn't match his fire and determination. Blame will be placed on everyone, but minus greens suspension and boguts injury, we lost the series because we didn't make the plays the caves made. Their stars outplayed ours. They made bigger shots. Lebron and Kyrie deserve the title. They were the 2 best players in the series. Hard to lose when that's the case.

Re: The Falcon King - The Harrison Barnes Thread Part II
HB couldn't make a damn shot in the past 3 games but lebron and kyrie were big time. More of the blame goes on steph and especially draymond for that stupid suspension. I can't believe we followed up the greatest regular season of all time with the only 3-1 finals choke in history
i would still give them both offers if i were the FO, but not 16m for HB and the suggested 15m for festus.
Probably 14m for HB and 10m for festus. And if they don't want it, too bad, see you both. Only good players get room for negotiation.

I'd settle for a trade exception at this point.

shot 5 for 32 in last 3 games of finals. thats 15%. how is that even possible? this has to be a record of some sort. I have never seen anything close to that bad on an NBA finals stage. most of which were uncontested wide open shots. practice shots. Warriors were playing 4 on 5 most of the series and 3 on 5 when Barnes and some combination of Ezeli or Varejao on the court. I wouldnt keep Barnes for free

We lost control to sign Festus and Harry. There is a qualifying offer out there, but they can and will receive offers from other teams. The only option the Warriors have is to match and possible work in an S&T.
I'm ready to move on from both of them. I can't believe how bad Festus has become. Kerr should be fired for playing him last night. I wonder if he would have substituted differently and didn't play Festus if we would have lost that 7 or 8 point lead? It wasn't like he was playing well previously.
Barnes was a major reason we lost this series. He allowed the Cavs to play off of him or cover him with Irving and he couldn't make them pay. Whoever we replace him with next season, has to be able to keep the opposing team honest on defense. Barnes inability to hit open shots, puts a lot of pressure on everyone else, because they can cheat on him defensively.
Regardless how bad Barnes was, Curry had a terrible drop off from his elite level of play. The bottom line, Curry is responsible for us losing this series. Green is just as responsible for getting suspended and then playing pretty poorly in game 6.

Re: The Falcon King - The Harrison Barnes Thread Part II
Well.......I wasn't a Barnes optimist past early season and at BEST I thought the $20 mill talk was just nuts. Now? I expect that was his last game here. At this point the $16 mill offer looks WAY high. It looked way high at the time.. and....Barne's market has dropped. Any team with interest will see what we see. In the MONEY games.. he was a SCRUB. It will be interesting when the best offer Barnes gets in the REAL world is more in the Area of $10-11 mil. We may not even care to match that.totalrekall wrote:shot 5 for 32 in last 3 games of finals. thats 15%. how is that even possible? this has to be a record of some sort. Re: The Falcon King - The Harrison Barnes Thread Part II
Barnes has been good in previous playoffs going back to his rookie year.
Fine, replace him but it's not easy to find role players to hit big shots.
Patrick Patterson and James Johnson missed a ton of wide open shots in the last two games of the ECF, so don't assume you're just going to find big shot makers out there.

Best of luck elsewhere, Barnes and Ezeli.

ill take my chances with a marvin williams at 12-14m rather than hb at 18-20m

4 years later and I don't see much difference in Barnes despite some extremely favorable conditions. It's time to make a change.

What's crazy is that Barnes came out on fire this year and actually looked like he turned a corner. But then he sprained his ankle and he went back to being the Barnes of old.

Re: The Falcon King - The Harrison Barnes Thread Part II
The problem is, the cap is up to $94 million and the minimum payroll is $84 million, which is way higher than the cap this past year.
So teams have to spend UP. There won't be the bargains people think there is.
