Seems strange.

Teague upset with the Hawks, doing LeBron passive aggressive things?

EDIT: Derek had in in one of his articles it could just be Teague's agent trying to build value for next offseason. Which could go hand in hand with Teague offering an explanation of his declined play along with a promise of improvement.

Noel and Teague's agents all work for the same agency.

they would have reworked Teague's contract before the trade, giving him more money over a couple of years, but maybe not as much as he thinks he can get just running out the current contract. but i can't think of any other explanation for Teague to go public with his injuries except that he didn't want to come here, or at best wanted to stay in Atlanta. given the Hawks intent on featuring a new pg, it sets up an interesting situation.

I wonder if it is unrelated, and he was just talking without thinking.

A partial tear that wasn't fixed with surgery doesn't scare me.

Micro fracture surgery, or Achilles surgery is what would really scare me.

good point. maybe just wanted folks to know he expects to play better. and then his agent told him to take it down asap.

It's shelling season. Woj bombs dropping early and, I suspect, often.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

So we can hope that Noel is worth more than the #12 pick in this draft, I suppose.

Excellent! We can just sign him next year, if he wants to play here. I'm hoping we keep Noel.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.
