I think I'm more surprised that Roman lost clean tonight.

Great ending though.

They can't do the Shield Triple Threat at Battleground can they? Thats a WrestleMania/SummerSlam main event

Yep. They also shouldn't immediately go back to the Styles-Cena match. Do an injury angle with Xavier and then have a 6-man with Cena, Kofi and Big E against Styles, Gallows and Anderson.

Reigns won his first title by pinning Ambrose, Seth won his first title by pinning Reigns, Ambrose won his first title by pinning Seth

I missed this sadly live but DEAN 'TITTY MASTER' AMBROSE, ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME.

Golden Truth vs Breezedango........ - 5stars (maybe a bit too harsh)

Lucha Dragons vs Dudley Boyz why?

New Day retaining and setting up to summerslam surely, Enzo & Cass v New Day is on

rip corbs v zigglypuff, crowd slaughtered this. It wasn't too bad in all honesty but hard to invest in this matchup anymore, its a feud thats gone on for too long

The womens tag was, well not great (limited with no match time at all), but at least Natalya turned heel (i guess, honestly i still won't care for her), guessing this means becky vs Natalya at summerslam, you know what the womens title match is though (is time for some sasha vs charlotte action, let sasha end this reign of terror please)

Crews vs Sheamus was an interesting dynamic, thing is Crews is too vanilla at the moment, he has no character, Sheamus at least has that and i think he has found his place (mid card heel, like the miz, speaking of old mate why wasn't he defending, then again all his contenders where in the MITB match  ).

Styles winning was good, i mean he was the dominant force in this, i was afraid of super cena (after he got whooped), but he knocked out the ref which led to styles winning, hopefully this means even if their is a rematch, styles wins at summerslam. Oh yeah and they really needed to send Lesnar out there to F-5 Cole again, and then give him heidenrich afterwards, he was awful in this.

for the MITB, the right man won i think, i mean i wouldn't have been mad if Owens won but i think his storyline with Zayn needs to continue (i would have had them elevate the IC title but whatever), also Cesaro i think will be the one to beat the Miz at summerslam for the IC belt most likely (provided he is on the same brand as the miz), glad Del Rio didn't win, was a bit worried there, i knew Jericho was fodder in this but he did pretty well.

Rusev, well as expected he killed Titus, Rusev humiliated him also to add that nice heel touch. Honestly this run is doing a lot to restore Rusev and the US title to an extent, i still think he needs solid challengers though (solid enough that he doesn't lose it though, too many people who cannot afford to lose in the mid card)

and for the main event, Reigns is a heel, actually a monster heel, a very good one at that as he transitioned throughout the match (really impressive psychology) and strangely enough, Rollins played that underdog perfectly. Roman knocked out the ref (good job) and that probably cost him here, but no real complaints either, rollins more or less won clean there (any dirty work was roman's fault). But that cash in, absolutely poetic, its taken 2 years but the payoff was superb. That heated rivalry over the latter part of 2014, Ambrose losing the title by a whisker, him winning it and having it reversed, and now this. It was beautiful (though Ambrose was very cool about it surprisingly enough, i thought he would have been beyond hyped).

Overall i think the main event and finish helped, but it was a reasonably good show, i mean the latter half's matches where all good (last 4) and the tag team match was pretty good also, even Corbin vs Ziggler was pretty good. Honestly the only really bad match was the opening match, and maybe the divas tag (mainly because it was so short). Overall one of the better PPV's this year. Cannot complain.

This was a show that lived up to expectations in the purest way imaginable. It was a three-match show with the tag match getting a little bit of attention but that was as much the personalities involved more so than the build being particularly strong. The three top matches all delivered in a major way, the only negative I'd say about any of the three is the finish of Styles-Cena was nothing to sing home about. And whatever negative I feel about that match was more than made up for by the fantastic finish of Rollins-Reigns. They did a little bit of overbooking but Rollins won as clean as you could expect and I liked that they put the MITB match in the third-to-last match because if it had been the opener, it would've telegraphed the finish. But every other match was treated like a throwaway match in the lead-up to the show and on the show.

Also, the finish of Cena/Styles made it seem like Cena/Styles 2 will be a Steel Cage/HIAC Match

Cena should totally want his hands on Gallows/Anderson so a 6 man tag with a team like New Day against the Club makes a ton of sense for the July PPV followed by a HIAC or something with Cena/Styles at SummerSlam.

I also like the suggestion of Rollins/Reigns No.1 contenders match. You don't even have to have Ambrose defend at the next PPV if you don't want to as with the amount of tv and ppvs, the title often gets defended way too much.

That makes sense considering WWEs backwards way of thinking. Fan favorite? "lets make him a heel" fans hate their guts? "We'll make him our top face"

Lets do another WM potential main event, Shield three way, at the next PPV.

So we can hear more of Cole saying "this is a WM match" or this is a "dream match". His line may be meant to build up the other PPV's with these types of matches but we still all know they aren't on WM level so it just diminishes the match and Cole loves to overuse his lines until they are annoying. He's one of the worse and I can't understand why they let him continue.

save it for Summerslam at least.

Let Ambrose has him time in the sun at least and get a 2 month reign. or better yet split the belts tomorrow and have dean go to smackdown with the big gold or something and raw can have a tournament culminating at summerslam for the vacated wwe title (makes too much sense sadly).

anyway yeah leave the triple threat to summerslam and have him go one on one with rollins and have reigns run in and destroy them both (rollins cashes in his rematch clause because technically reigns wouldn't get one).

Rollins vs Ambrose at Battleground should be at least a 4 and a half star match if given the time (20 minutes to half an hour).

Reigns and Rollins were fantastic tonite. So happy that Dean finally wins the belt. Alongside the MITB and Cena\Styles this was a badass PPV!

It is obvious that they went late on the prior matches in order for the main event to start after the NBA game. Which I am thankful for because I switched over and saw a great main event.

That was an excellent match all around. And a great cash in. Haven't seen the rest of the PPV yet but that was fantastic.

Did AJ mash up his knee on that landing from a flip early on in the match? He looked gimpy and the announcers didn't say boo about it.
Seth looked gimpy as well.

MITB took a back seat to game 7 and Game Of Thrones last night, so I'm catching up on it now. 4-way tag match had some really fun sequences but suffered a little towards the end due to a couple mis-timed moves and general miscommunication (to be expected when there are 8 men in 1 match). Good ending though.

The backstage segment with Owens, Jericho and Del Rio was GOLD! I'm gonna go back and watch that again when I'm done with the PPV.

There was a report on one of the dirt sheet sites last week that WWE has made plans for all of their PPVs to run over 15-20 minutes. Supposedly they contacted the PPV providers and told them they have plans to do this fairly frequently going forward.
