come on deep

if the player we're talking about was truly a consistent defensive center with 3 point shooting range and ability, he'd be commanding upwards of 15-20 mil per

Problem is he's neither consistent defensive player or a perimeter shooting threat and shows no signs of ever being one

Randle/Meyers would easily be the worst starting front court in the NBA.

That's hyperbole if I've ever seen it.

Meyers Leonard: 109 defensive rating, 11.3 PER.

Julius Randle: 108 defensive rating, 13.9 PER.

That's a bottom 3 defensive front court, and not enough offensive production to warrant the lack of defense.

Exactly. just because he can sometimes shoot the three means he should be a Laker. He's not worth anything over 5 million.

Why would they be bad?

They would definitely have to improve their defense just as the rest of the team would.

Nah, he's all yours. Portland wishes Meyers the best for his future.
