Problem is he's neither consistent defensive player or a perimeter shooting threat and shows no signs of ever being one

Drafting Ingram, signing Meyers Leonard and Fournier would be a solid off season for me.

Randle/Meyers would easily be the worst starting front court in the NBA.

Meyers Leonard: 109 defensive rating, 11.3 PER.

Julius Randle: 108 defensive rating, 13.9 PER.

That's a bottom 3 defensive front court, and not enough offensive production to warrant the lack of defense.
