Can't wait to see Ingram in a Lakers uni. Such an amazing fit!

right up until we're not good enough to make the post-season and too good to retain our top-3 pick

This pick seems like such a no-brainer but that's exactly what I thought last year about Jahlil Okafor.

The thing is last year with the first pick we would of gotten Kat. This year with the #1 pick we should pick Ingram because he is the best player in this draft

The closer it gets, the more I think LAL will pick Buddy, just like 2015. We all thought Okafor was the safe pick until they surprised us all with the right pick.

We need quality big men...not more chuckers...we have 2 scorers already.... DLo and Clarkson.

Buddy provides nothing more than what Jordan Clarkson already does.

We always knew that Russell had a chance at getting picked and there was such a great debate about it. It's gonna be Ingram or Simmons.

Speculation by me. Lakers will trade the 2nd pick and something else to get boogie and the kings 8th pick in the draft.

Uh, what? They're not even the same player to begin with.

We'll start with Hield's perimeter shooting - it's light years ahead of Clarkson's. His elite transition shooting would be a great aspect to add to a Russell led fast break or simply to the Lakers in general. The Lakers currently SORELY lack this from their guards.

His footwork compared to Clarkson's is not even up for debate. Hield's is much more advanced than Clarkson's.

About the only thing Clarkson does better right now is his ability to create off the dribble and facilitate.

Would I take Hield #2? Not unless a trade has happened that fills other needs - such as the one Ingram fills. Thus, I'm drafting Ingram and not making this more difficult than it has to be.

That would be nice. Getting the best center in the NBA is a massive upgrade and it would instantly make the Lakers a playoff team.

Im honestly not that big on Simmons. He seems like he only cares about the money and fame. Those to me are red flags on his commitment to get better as a player. Ingram looks like he is willing to put in the work. We have a good group of guys that look like they are gym rats and Simmons could hinder that.

He's never been able to make his own team a playoff team so not sure why adding him to the 2nd worst team in the league would make them one.

I like the rationalization going on here. I don't care if he's concerned with money and fame as long as he realizes the best way to get those things is to be the best basketball player possible. As to your concerns over his fitness commitment:

Had a dream last night that lakers traded Russell for 5th pick then traded both picks to kings for cousins. Then signed Durant and Conley. Is this even possible lol. Not bad though with Conley, clarkson, Durant, Randle and cousins. Could this be something our front office is thinking? Just thought I'd share.
