They've changed a lot. Chriss had 18 votes last time.

Why do the 76ers want Dunn, they have two ball handlers who cant shoot as their pick 1 and 3.

Add Noel to that.

Morning fellas. I think there is a chance we make a move for Okafor, this is exactly what I said after I heard the same thing yesterday

http://www.nj.com/sixers/index.ssf/2016/06/nba_draft_rumors_could_sixers_trade_with_phoenix_s.html.

Again, I believe it will all come down to Chriss and Bender. We all prefer Bender, who does our FO prefer?

Chris doesn't make sense to me. Are we going to pick and pop/roll with him and use his athleticism or J? If so, what is our center doing at this time?

We should be picking and rolling/popping with Len and our PF is out on the perimeter, thus Bender has better handles and shooting and passing......what's the discussion?

If Okafor can play PF I'd rather him than Chriss or Bender.

I still have Hield and Murray as my preferred pick.

I found it! I found it! Finally see why they are considering him above Bender

Edit: He does have a decent handle. He attacked from the perimeter in the SDSU game. He actually looks like he has some post games too. I guess that is the potential part. He could possibly shoot, take his man off the dribble, post up, alley oop dunk, and weakside help. Needs to work on REB and on the ball D. If he contiues to grow, I could see him being very good.

What about Sabonis, basically same type of player.

Too many options, too much brain racking. Gonna sit back and trust that the front office knows who they want and trust that they have vetted the decision through the proper people and channels. If it be straight up drafting or trade frenzy, I trust whatever they decide.

McDonough will have just one question he has to answer (which is the same for every high upside athlete in the NBA draft):

Can we teach Marquese Chriss to play basketball? If the answer is yes, he chooses him.

Early history with Len, Goodwin, Bledsoe, Plumlee, Green suggest McDonough's answer has generally been yes - He picks the specimen, and backs us in to teach them.

Yeah if they do trade for Okafor they should immediately trade chandler. All 48 c minutes should be going to Okafor and len. They could probably get away with playing the two of them together a little bit but not for long stretches.

Heck even if they don't trade for Okafor and take bender or chriss I'd love for them to take one of ellison, sabonis, or Davis at 13 and trade chandler.

Yeah but to what end?

Len - still developing, years later
Goodwin - is he even developing?
Bledsoe - He was much further along than most others
Plumlee - stalled at "decent backup"
Green - Revitalized but still stuck in JR Smith Jr territory

I like McD's picks and trades but other than Booker I've yet to see a raw prospect begin to fully pan out. I still have faith in our guys and his drafting but at this rate, we're going to wait 5 years to field a competitive team.

No ones worried about his offense though, thats why it pretty much has been a non topic.

Really? I do. He just needs to focus and understand the intricacies of defense to become adequate, IMO. If his offense is there and he has the athleticism and tools to be a good to great defender you take him and coach him up. I heard his motor isn't good on here. Is it because he has none or paralysis by analysis?

I am not impressed with the game of Chriss. I hope he can become something if we draft him, but what makes him that much of a superior prospect than someone like Skal Labissiere? Both have a good jumpshot and both are raw. Skal is a better rebounder, has a larger wingspan, similar shot blocker and also has a better postgame.

Chriss' rebounding especially on the defensive end is a huge red flag for me, and something that is rarely improved from the college level to the pros.

My ideal draft right now will be Skal at #13 and Brown at #4... Adding two athletic and long players to our roster who both have very high ceilings.

Building around Booker, TJ, Brown, Skal and Len.

I've been trying to find Ford's old mocks right up to the draft to see if he had intel on us. Last year he had us taking WCS but Booker was gone at 10 in his mock.

In 2014, here is what he said...
14T.J. WarrenPhoenix Suns (23 - 59)COLLEGE: NC StateHT: 6-8WT: 220POS: SF
The Suns are talking trade with a number of teams. Interestingly, they've spoken with several teams about point guards despite having both Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe. Could the Suns be thinking of trading Dragic or not matching an offer for Bledsoe?

Their biggest need is probably at wing. The team, according to sources, has narrowed the list to Warren, Hood, LaVine and Payton. Both LaVine and Payton are off the board here, which puts it between Warren and Hood. Of the two, Hood is the most likely to still be on the board at 18 -- the Hawks, Bulls and Celtics are all high on Warren. He gives them one of the best scorers in the draft, though they are going to have to find a shooter somewhere else.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft/mock/?season=2014&version=11&sourceId=1

2013 is hard to find (and the one I wanted to find the most because of a top 10 pick), because I and only find the top 3 picks (He had them as Noel, Oladipo, and Porter) so he had 2 and 3 right.

Analysis: I continue to hear that if the Cavs pass on Noel, the Magic are leaning strongly toward selecting Noel with the No. 2 pick in the draft.

If Noel is off the board? Things get a little tougher. Some favor Oladipo. Others McLemore. While McLemore is a stronger offensive player, Oladipo's defense and his crazy motor hold a strong appeal for the Magic. Culture matters in Orlando and I think Oladipo trumps McLemore by an edge.

Analysis: With so much up in the air in this draft, Porter to the Wizards at No. 3 remains a constant. He's appeared here in every mock and I think it's unlikely we move him. While the Wizards have a lot of interest in Anthony Bennett, sources say they are now leaning toward taking Porter at No. 3. He fits a need, fits their culture and, like Oladipo, is viewed as a sure thing by many NBA GMs and scouts.

OK, finally I found what all the mocks had us taking....NONE had us taking Alen Len, and most had him as available at our pick.
