It looks like it will be between Poland, Croatia, Wales and Belgium from that half of the draw.

Yeah, Croatia is better than all of them.

I said it after the first game, playing Spain and Croatia made Turkey look way worse than they really are. Croatia are an elite striker away from being a very, very good team. Mandzukic is good enough though.

:)

My mistake with the wording: Spain gets the brutal bracket of potentially* facing Italy/Germany/France

Croatian team always manages to screw themselves up one way or another, though.

Maybe, but not by much. Poland and Wales have world class players who can win games by themselves and Poland looks very strong defensively in this tournament.

Crazy turn of events.

Germany/Spain was supposed to be a possible final, not QF.

I can see Croatia all the way up to finals. Have you seen what have they done to Spain despite Modric and Brozovic, who are key players in midfield, being absent? I won't even mention the officials, they were heavily biased towards Spain.

Their youngins are also really good. I like Pjaca especially, he will be star winger in a couple of years.

Spain was qualified. Hard to tell whether they really took this game all that serious.

a few players probably thought they could stay top of the group without full effort and it almost worked.

So, according to your logic, you don't know if Spain took this game serious while they went to the game with top squad? Mate, Croatia missed 5 players from starting XI.

Now Spain can enjoy France, England, Germany and Italy while Croatia has road to the finals if they keep playing their game.

So let me gets this straight. England won as many games as turkey has won in their groups despite the fact england had the easiest group and turkey has one of the most lethal one. Where are you HIF?

My logic tells me to never take group stage games/results too serious.

Look at 2012. Spain - Italy 1-1 in group stage but when the spotlights were on in the final Spain absolutely destroyed Italy.

Just let it go, man. This bizarre England vs. Turkey thing is getting silly.

HIF should do the same too.

Congrats on the win btw!

Your logic doesnt make any sense. Spain wanted to win but they couldn't. Even though Croatia missed their best players. And now they will face a much harder path to the finals.

Sure they wanted to win but it's not like it was a do or die game.
