It really doesn't. And I wouldn't roll the dice on that.
It really does, unless you are telling me Saric has more value than Bradley despite having never played a game in the NBA and that Noel has more value than the third pick given Phillys roster composition and Noel's salary situation. I consider the 3 to be > Noel and Bradley > Saric so it all really boils down to gambling on the lakers who have openly admitted their tank is over
The Lakers have swung and missed in free agency twice already. They didn't go into this with the expectation of staying tanked.
And I don't know that I'd put the 3 over Noel in this draft. Bradley's better than Saric right now, but for a team on Philly's timetable it makes little sense to trade for Bradley when you can just work with the assets you have. By the time they need a guy like Bradley they'll have their roster developed.
That's part of the reason Noel is being shopped—he doesn't fit the timetable.
The reason Noel is being shopped is because they are trying to develop him, Okafor, Embiid and soon to be Saric and Simmons. They don't have the minutes for all these guys and they know it. They also haven't been able to get the value they would want for Okafor either which is why they've been dangling Noel too. Personally I don't feel the league values either of these two players nearly as much as the majority of these forums do.
