Look up "the art of hating Kobe". That's how you sound like right now.
I hate him for agreeing that Kobe isn't top 10? I think he's overrated. This year I've heard arguments about him still being better than Lebron, Shaq, and others. I just don't see it. What about my post was wrong?
Kobe has, so far, had a better career than Lebron. If you think otherwise then...
When people talk about ranking the top 10, their criteria always changes from player to player. One player is slotted at #2 because of rings, the next is slotted at #3 because of MVP's, #4 because of scoring titles, etc etc. (just examples).
It's not that simple. I'm not going to argue that 90% of regular fans already consider Lebron>Kobe, since it's just opinion.
Lebron is an more of an overachiever. He allowed a mediocre team to play NBA Finals. Lebron was able to win 60+ games with a below average supporting cast. Kobe lost playoff on his prime, while Lebron was a lock for playoff even in the worst team of the league.
Lebron is way better at boards, assisting, defense. Lebron has efficiency, and it's not even close. Lebron is better closing games. He is better with his back against the wall. All of this is supported by stats.
The only thing Kobe is probably ahead is on last shots to win the game, but I'm not so sure stats can support even that.
Also, Kobe never won a single ring as an underdog. He always had the best supporting cast around him, and for most of the rings he was part of the supporting cast. He also had an atrocious game 7 in the most important game of his career.
Kobe is a legend. He's great. He is top 8-12 ever depending on your criteria. But Lebron already acomplished much more than Kobe, unless you only look at rings.
