He's offering too much. Just kidding Celts fans. :D

Yup, I must be Danny Ainge because I don't think Noel or Okafor is worth the 3rd pick. Brilliant.

I feel like most of them are probably true, just never happen because Ainge is like that one guy in your fantasy league who just never stops sending trade offers.

I will give you CJ Anderson, Calvin Johnson AND DeSean Jackson for Odell Beckham and Todd Gurley.

Some pretty juicy stuff in there...

Buried the lead for PHX fans. PHX going after Hayward, not sure we had heard that this offseason, though he has long been a rumored target.

I think Ainge is definitely the type of guy who would tell you why you should do the trade and how he's doing you a favor.

One more thing about "Unavailble" players. It's really only a question of price in most cases. Unavailable at the price being offered is usually the most likely scenario. It can also mean that a comparably skilled player may be able to be found for less assets. Most unavailable players aren't available until they are (meaning the price has been met or exceeded).

If BOS said that all of their current and future picks were available in trade along with Jae Crowder and Isaiah Thomas for Khris Middleton, MIL probably says yes. Teams aren't offering that kind of haul for Khris or any player. Teams place value above and beyond the players value on the court because of loyalty, history, character, commitment...

Let's wait and see who is playing who at the end of the draft.... shaping up to be a lot better than last years draft!

You mean in terms of pick quality or interest? Last year's was almost certainly better quality, though this year's is probably deeper with role players.

But it's definitely going to be more interesting.

Interest. Last year was such a bore, barely anything happened.... I want to see players being traded left right and centre! Picks being traded, everything happening!
But to be fair it's on par with the trade deadline for me.... (Obviously Finals are the best but only when Boston is in them)

lol Ainge always comes across as the classic homer poster in the T&T board who overvalues all of his team's assets and tries to convince you how much you need to trade your blue chips for his crap. No way he can get any of those guys for #3, he better lower his expectations or be ready to take a rookie.

Yeah, hopefully more stuff happens in this year's draft, I'm thinking things will get lively after the lottery, since it appears guys in the 3-15 range don't have as much value as they do other years, but role players in the later half of the 1st round are being praised by everyone. On the other hand, a lot of teams might wait for July 1st to do significant moves, because of the amount of capspace available.

I think in a normal draft you might consider it... but this year? ugh...

I actually like this report because it means Ainge recognizes where the team is and isn't doing anything stupid like including the Brooklyn '17 swap or the Brooklyn '18 1st rounder in addition to the other picks.

No need to overpay for "good not great" players.

Looks like Cavs want in on the draft

Not sure who I'd want from Cleveland, maybe punt it for a first a few years down the road in the hope that Lebron scurries off to form his team of superfriends in New York or LA

I would want Cedi Osman and a future top 14 protected pick. We will have to wait 3-4 years.

You do understand that is how transnational business or trades are done. It is called selling.
