He will probably pursue Kevin Love next.

I can't wait until Ainge gets desperate enough to call up Minnesota asking about the availability of Shabazz Muhammad, lmao.

With the players he was trying to trade for, if they decide to draft and keep the pick, Murray or Hield seems more like the kinda player they've been targeting.

They just had to leak that they were shopping Okafor. They couldn't just let me finally enjoy the draft in peace. Now I'm going to be pissed when don't trade Okafor for the 3rd pick.

Okafor is worth more than #3 to me.

Noel for #3 (given his contract status) would be fine.

And I like Okafor as an insurrance policy for Embiid.

Yeah, it seems that a lot of people feel that way. I think the 3rd pick is great value for Okafor.

If Noel is traded and we're left with Okafor it's gonna ruin all the good Simmons / Embiid / Saric vibes for me. I don't want to go into another season with this dude eating up 12 seconds of every possession on a post up.

So, apparently, neither Butler nor Middleton, nor Heyward, nor Parker are available.
Maybe the Sixers aren't "the team in the corner"...

If I were the Bucks, I'd give up Jabari Parker in a second, for the #3 pick.

When the Celtics strike out trying to get an established star (Butler, Hayward, Cousins, etc.), they'll come back around. At the end of the day both sides will want to make the deal. Okafor is worth more than the #3 in this draft so we'll need a sweetener. The final deal should be:

Sixers trade / Celtics receive:
CE Jahlil Okafor
1st Round Pick (#26)

Celtics trade / Sixers receive:
1st Round Pick (#3) - Draft Kris Dunn
1st Round PIck (#16) - Draft Furkan Korkmaz (stash for 1-2 years)

I think that is where we will end up. We take a wing like Malik Beasley or Patrick McCaw at #24. Then sign a free agent PG to backup Dunn, and a free agent SG to start.

PG Dunn / FA / McConnell
SG FA / Stauskas / #24
SF Covington / Grant / Thompson
PF Simmons / Saric / Landry
CE Embiid / Noel / Holmes

There is so much smoke circling that we want Kris Dunn. I'm honestly surprised there haven't been planted stories that we want Jamal Murray, Buddy Hield, Jaylen Brown etc. and that's why we are trying to get the 3rd pick.

Or, maybe, we want Jamal Murray and Dunn is a smokescreen.

Pompey saying his sources in Boston say Sixers want #3 plus other assets in return and that is what is holding it up, not Boston not wanting to deal.

Not to rip on LegionNBA (whoever the hell that is), but off the top of my head:

-Philly has offered Okafor or Noel for the #3 pick and Boston has declined.
-Boston is more interested in Noel than Okafor.
-Boston is more interested in Okafor than Noel.
-Philly cannot get a pick within the top 5 for Okafor.
-Philly is asking too much for Okafor in addition to the #3 pick.
-Philly will not accept only the #3 from Boston as being offered and want an additional sweetener.
-Boston desperately wants to move out of the #3 pick, but has struck out in all attempts to acquire a veteran.
-Philly desperately wants to trade back into somewhere within the top 8.

In any case, I'm sure I'm missing many other supposed rumors here, which only leads me to believe that the only one who has a clue is Woj, who hasn't reported anything yet. My guess is that the teams are talking and have exchanged proposals, with very few knowing the actual details. I would hope that Colangelo will accept nothing less than the #3 for Okafor (and I guess Noel) and simply move on if Boston balks. With Ainge, I fully expect that he's trying to lowball Colangelo, as he does with every other team in the NBA, but with Philly, he shouldn't have any leverage, so Colangelo best not fold. I'd rather just wait and I can only hope Colangelo is of the same mindset. Boston on the other hand is a very good player away from taking another step forward and has a dearth of good big men. Philly is not going to be very good for at least a couple of years in any case, so why panic?

Pompey also said Knight and #4 might be a better option for Okafor/Noel.

Crap reports flying everywhere. If I'm Philly, I don't give more than Okafor for #3. If I'm Boston, I wouldn't give more than the #3 for Okafor. The values are comparable, so either side could easily just move on to something else. I don't believe any of the conflicting "reports"coming out.

I'd rather have Bledsoe and the #4 myself, although Bledsoe has admittedly struggled with injuries. All I know is that all of these options sound a hell of a lot more interesting to me than Noel and change for Teague, which sound worse by the minute.

I also don't know why Sixers have no leverage.

Ainge has certainly knows a lot of these prospects. If Bender or Dunn was really special in his eye, he wouldn't be trading him. It's not like they have a franchise caliber PG/C already in place.

I also think that we tend to overvalue prospects before the draft. Then once we draft them, the illusion of promise diminishes and we face the reality that the rookie has a long way to go before being the player they are hyped to be. While we know Jah and Noel are much experienced players and are better prospects than anyone with the 3rd overall pick, I see atleast no change in their value.

With that said, I do think celtics is in panic mode to dispose that 3rd overall pick. Some rumors said they weren't impressed with Bender while Dunn doesn't want to play their. Hield and Murray are said to be reach with the 3rd overall pick. And again, I don't think there are any players with the 3rd overall pick that is in the same tier with both our bigs as prospects.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
