Whats funny is your reaction at the Lakers fans being happy about Ingram. If you are so secure in Simmons being legit, you woudlnt care about what Lakers fans think about Ingram. Its like Sixers fans telling Lakers fans how they should feel about dAngelo Russell saying Russell sucks so they should fix their mistake and trade DAngelo to the Sixers for Okafor lol.
It doesn't matter - really - but a poll prior to the lottery would have been more telling.
EDIT: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1435917#start_here (Simmons 49%, Ingram 47%, other 4%) compared to viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1445635&start=980 (Simmons 26%, Ingram 58%, other 16%)
I'd say that's correct. Pre draft lottery about 50/50, and of the 49% that were Simmons probably 25% have mostly been reading stuff on Ingram and falling in love with him knowing it was more than likely our pick. The overreaction from our peeps based on the assertion that we convinced ourselves he was the best player, though, is understandable considering almost 50% of us did really feel that was our guy and even more so when you consider that we need a 3 like nobodies business and we need shooters like crazy, too.
Hopefully what happens this year, though, is that both players thrive and this year is a promising one for both Franchises. Small market love be damned, the league is better when Philly, NY, LA, Boston, and Chicago are competitive.
Yeah I need you guys to be better than you were last year so we can get that pick. Hopefully you guys can at least get the 6th worst record but I doubt it. I think you guys could have the worst record if you don't get a good free agent. I'm hoping you can get someone like Whiteside. He should make you competitive but still miss the playoffs. Simmons and Ingram square off in Las Vegas on July 9th. Can't wait.
