I think we are picking Diamond Stone with our 27th pick!

Kobe and MJ were not number one picks lmao. Kobe was drafted 13th... C'mon dude

Please look back at the context of that quote... The Top 1 was referring to the OP's claim of people potentially turning into the Top 1 player in the league. Not the #1 overall draft pick...

Kobe dominated high school and MJ went 3rd (could've easily went second), not even remotely close to the 9th. No one in the OP's potential future "Top 1" player list even remotely come close to achieving anything like that. C'mon dude

Well DUDE. You're still contradicting yourself by saying there's no one that can be a "top 1" player at #9 ...yet you mention Kobe Bryant who was drafted 13th overall. And Yes he had huge hype going into the draft but that doesn't change the fact he would have been available at #9. Hence the fault in your statement.

I'm not saying there's someone in this draft that could potentially be the best player in the league in a few years, I'm just disproving your statement; that there is no chance someone can get a "top 1" player at #9. It has happened before, so therefore you are wrong. That is all

i dont know why people are obssesed with skal but not talking about the beast diamond stone. 6~10 7-3 wingspan 255 pounds decent numbers in his first year much better skal numbers nimble feet. 19 year old. tough Kentrick perkins with a offensive game is his floor. one on one diamond would abuse skal

His stats, age, measurements are all similar or better then Dayonte Davis yet he is mocked in the second round somehow

he shot 78% from the free throw line. he doesnt have stone hands no pun intended. If immaturity is the whole problem he said today he loves casey and wants him to mentor him. Should be fixable. Bebe would have the worst practices against this guy

I think his overall athleticism is much less than Deyonta Davis. He was a leader in offensive rebounding mainly because he was rebounding his own misses. He is not a big leaper like Deyonta who profiles as a shotblocker and can likely play two positions. I am hoping he has lost some weight and found a bit more agility because his rep kind of reads iffy motor and a bit heavy.

I do like his long term upside. A guy with an RCSI of 6 is a big time prospect. He just mainly didn't develop at Maryland. Sort of a similar limited minutes thing like Deyonta at Mich State. I do think he will be much more vocal than Deyonta which is important when defending.

I am kind of leaning towards him because of good offensive skill, upside and frame. He has a beastly makeup if he keeps on a good diet and strength training. He also has edge to him which I like.

Diamond Stone is a beast, he seems to really like Casey and the Raps have brought him in twice now. Hope we get this guy, might have to trade our second pick for a higher one to get him though.

Dayonte Davis is better.

Stone is one of the worse passing bigs in the draft, and rates really poorly on defense. He is a late first round, early second round pick. Could be really good if he improved in those areas.

I think we should take a long look at Baldwin too. If we're moving Ross especially, you could have him playing with Lowry and Joseph and go small with DD and Norm more at SF, with Carroll more at the 4.

Please don't let us go with Casey's guy again.

We can't have another Ross over Drummond fiasco.

If Bender falls to 6 I'm making a move. Pelicans want to help AD now, trade them 9 and Ross for Bender, give them some depth. If we came out if this offseason keeping BB, adding Bender, and 27, I'd be pretty happy.

wouldn't mine an early 2nd round pick for Caris Lavert, this guy is very talented... greater shooter and has wing length.

Bender and Lavert are my two guys in this draft. Worst case Skal and Lavert
