I've mentioned this a few times, Chriss's more of a SF type reach.... similar to Markieff Morris..
I think Chriss could turn out to be a more athletic, above the rim version of Markieff without the back to the basket game.

Defensively he plays very upright with little leverage or bend, if he dosn't learn how to get low/establish the inside position he may be called for reaching over the back often. Also has a propensity for overcomitting chasing weakside blocks and was backed down with ease in the post. He can alter shots with his ridicilous hops, but he needs perfect timing/anticipation due to his below average standing reach(sure the Combine measurements are off but I doubt they changed much) He has a knack for wading through traffic grabbing offensive boards, but sometimes he would sacrifice getting back in transition. He will give up more second chance opportunties than he secures.

Maybe a bit on his rebounding, but its his defense that im worried the most about.

He's just very raw. He'll give you inconsistent performances. I ultimately see him being better suited as a small forward. He's going to struggle with rebounding & his defense, if he's matched up against bigger power forwards.

You guys are looking too much at what a 19 year old who has only been playing basketball seriously for 5 years has now. By the end of his rookie contract, he'll have literally doubled the playing experience he currently has. This can be seen as a good thing or a bad thing, but I try to look at it in that he's already produced pretty good numbers against solid competition, is one of the most athletic and youngest players in the draft, can switch and defend out on the perimeter, has a smooth outside jump shot, and still has a ton of room to grow and refine his game. If we pick him, then I think it's safe to assume we think we'll be able to mold him into a player worthy of the 4th pick even if it may take time. Would I rather have Bender? Yeah probably, but it's hard not to see the potential in Chriss too. It's not like we're in win-now mode, and if he reaches his ceiling his prime will coincide perfectly with Devin Booker.

Bottomline, no one is afraid or really concerned with who we draft more than we hope the guy doesn't bust and he reaches his potential.

"leftover?" lol! No one here has a real favorite, we are just hoping we get the right guy. Who is the "leftover" CJ, Greak Freak, Gobert, Adams, Green, Ginobili, Drummond, Curry, DeAndre Jordan, who...........?

I am not the sky is falling type, if I was I can't imagine where I'd be in life.

Yeah, after that comment all I could think is, what a **** attitude and outlook.

Just keeping it real . This class will liekly end up as bad as advertised. Wouldn't hitch my wagon onto any of these guys, I'll gladly take the under and hope to be proven wrong.

I get it. Expect to lose so when you lose you can say, see I knew I would lose so I don't care. Nah, I rather expect to win and if i lose, I'll manage the disappointment, but I damn sure won't lose in my head before I even play the game, then you lose twice!

Sounds like Amare to me. Wouldn't he be worth the 4th pick in this draft?

His measurements displays that his true height isn't 6'10..that's a long neck.

I'll be fine with Bender or Chriss. I prefer Chriss though just because he has a higher ceiling, and it would be really nice to have an all-star caliber player again if he can reach his potential, whereas Bender will just be an nice complementary piece if he reaches his ceiling.

As for all the criticism regarding Chriss's lack of experience, knowledge etc. it'd be interesting to see what this board's reaction was to Alex Len at the time of the draft, considering he picked up basketball late like Chriss.

He is 19, if someone talks to him and evaluates him and decides he is teachable, I trust the basketball people who decided that over someone who decides a kid is never gonna be anything more than he is at 19 years old.

Not everybody is Devin Booker and has a pro basketball player as a dad. If he shows hel is capable of being a sponge and has some inner fire, I'm OK with whatever they pick.

Wasn't a fan. But, I'm not a fan of most players who fit that profile.

Funny observation: Len looks like a baby giraffe learning to walk posting up. Chriss ACTUALLY looks like a baby giraffe

SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I thought the pick would be Noel or McLemore at the time. But, I also really liked CJ McCollum coming out.

I think Bender has the higher ceiling. He's got the height and length, coupled with his IQ and good fundamentals. However I think Chriss has more chance of reaching his high ceiling. His lack of experience and low basketball IQ is what will hold him back from reaching great heights in my view.

I also wasn't a fan of the Len signing but the guy I wanted has been even more of a disappointment (McLemore) so I guess McD did better than me in that draft
