Rumors are cool and all, but this is just throwing something at a wall and hoping it sticks.

Phil Jackson is one of the most secretive GM's in the league. How would this random account know what the Knicks are doing?

This ain't really a rumor, it's just logic. We're getting a pick. We just don't know where yet.

The question is where though. Big difference between a late first rounder and a mid to late second rounder.

As the tweet says, I assume that depends upon the prospects available at certain spots.

Between Boston at 23 and 58, there's a bunch of picks available for the low. I'm chilling and pretty confident.

Also this is of note. Would like to see us be a 3rd team lubricant in one of these deals to get rid of Calderon or even take a small asset back by dealing O"Quinn.

give up 2 firsts asap. do it phil!!!

I'll tell you this much, considering his injury history and draft projection I'm going to be extremely tight if we don't have Caris LeVert playing on our summer league team.

If he's still there at 45, call up Boston and send em a bag of Calderon's toe nails

Depending on what pick we can acquire tomorrow I would love to see Brice Johnson on this squad, our need is at guard but he would be hard to pass up if available.

Because he has one year left on his contract and then will be looking at a max deal. I just read a report saying they turned down 4+13 and are not actively shopping him.

I hope we can be part of a 3 team trade for Teague. Only has $8m on salary and then we would have an additional $25+ mil to spend on others.

Signing Rondo, Conley, etc. would cost us $15+ mil and hurt our available cap.

8 this year but 26 next year when real free agents are in the mix

I'd rather hold off on giving up assets for Teague

We can be as much a player for him next year as anyone but can keep our options open in the meantime

If it were a guy like Rubio who has a couple of seasons left on his deal, albeit a larger one, I'd be more ok with that as these existing deals are only gonna be more valuable as everyone else starts making 2xs as much

Looking at the landscape, they apparently turned down the 3rd overall for him already, and last year Goran Dragic netted PHX TWO unprotected 1sts.

It's not happening for "a" 1st from the Knicks, it's got to be multiple, and they'll have limited, if any, protection.

I agree. Don't know about the hybrid KG/KD thing but he's a very intelligent and unselfish player, with excellent length and mobility, a high motor and serviceable J. He's rail thin and may not be able to put on much weight as he matures. I think he's gonna be a very good pro once the expectations come back down to earth. But pairing he and KP upfront could be special for the future.

In a perfect world we walk away Thursday night with he and a guard (Richardson, Brogdon, Gbnjie, Luwahu, Forkmaz, Courdinier, etc). Then bring in an undrafted FA like Niang, Josh Adams (check this kid out if you haven't already), Bryn Forbes or Dorian Finney-Smith.

Hurry up Thursday.

Thanks for the defense :D Of course, he's not going to score like KD or be as impactful so quickly. But the guy is freaking 7 feet tall with length, mobility, and ball/perimeter skills and shooting ability. Who else am I going to compare him to, stylistically? Also, like BLACKFEET mentioned, his intelligence, motor, and unselfishness along with his size and versatility...there's definitely some KG potential there. He could be a real good player 5-6 years from now, along with All-Star KP...the sort of versatile, multiple position player that thrives in the modern NBA.

I would love to be able to get Thon Maker in this draft. He might not have lived up to the tremendous hype they put on him in HS but it doesn't mean he doesn't still have tons of room to develop. He is only 19 and from everything I have heard he is very coachable and is a gym rat like KP. His body and it's adaptation to adding weight is the biggest concern but with professionals working with him on a strict diet and weight program that shouldn't be a problem. He might fall into the original time table they had for KP which was ready to contribute in 3-4 years but he is worth the gamble. Like last year I would rather the team swing for the fences than settle for a single.
