Re: Around the League
Pursuing Dirk is a weird idea...
If I was them, I'd consider KD and even Dwight Howard as the first tier of players they pursue. I think they need an athletic center that can rebound like mad and make Bogut come off the bench. Who knows if Dwight would want to go over there, even on a short deal.

Re: Around the League
KD is the most obvious target but not likely to happen. As for C's, I would go after Whiteside before Dwight if I were them. Horford may be a good option as well since he would fit right in as far as ball movement and spreading the floor.

I get it for us, why does Utah do it? Exum missed last season and they would left with Shelvin Mack.

Mack started for Utah after they traded for him, and Neto was the main backup. Burke got booted from the rotation. Add in Exum and there isn't any room for Trey at all. I'm not sure Bullock would play for them either with Hayward, Burks, Hood, and Ingles on the roster but he makes a little more sense.
I wouldn't do it for Detroit though. Burke is not a good PG. He's an average shooter that doesn't do much else for the position. No defense, no facilitating, and not much penetration. Bullock is the main shooter off the bench for the Pistons and isn't terrible on defense.

Never mind, trade makes sense. Didn't realize that they have 4 pgs.

That's significant. Utah may have just traded the #12 pick for George Hill as well. I'm not sure what that says about the trade market or the value of the picks in this draft, but I would lean towards neither being very good.

Yeah. Wow.
I guess on the surface of it its not really that much of a gamble. Rose only has one year left.

I'm not seeing an issue with it. Worst case scenario they've got serious cap space. Best case scenario Rose is a successful reclamation process at the cost of Robin Lopez.
If this was an Isiah type move Rose would still have 3 years left on his deal.

Oh I think it's fine, especially given the short term nature. Lopez & Calderon going out doesn't change their cap picture much.

You can bet they'll be making a run at some big-gun free agents this season.
I actually think the Knicks aren't in as bad a spot as most think. Porzingis could very well end up being the best player in last year's draft, and last years draft is looking like it was a pretty good one.

The NBA has gone bonkers. This is what middle of the road drafts do to teams. Mock drafts are being defenestrated right now.
The next couple days then FA should be quite fun.

So the Central division added Jeff Teague and lost Derrick Rose. The PG play has markedly improved.

That Cleveland crowd didn't seem loud to me. Anyone else watch and think the same? You'd think they would've went nuts especially when Bron got up there. Maybe they turned down crowd volume somhow or something idk
