Alan Haun is about to make a prediction on who he thinks the Knicks are looking to get into the draft to go after. Wonder who's realgm posts he's been checking out.

After afternoon delights I guess

Based on the Finch's scouting reports, it would seem that it's almost a requirement for us to go after DeAndre Bembry. A Jae Crowder type player is someone that will help us win a lot of games, when paired with Melo and KP in the frontcourt. He can contribute now and develop into a great starter in the near future.

Or you can swing for the fences and go after Thon Maker, who can eventually be the future big man alongside KP.

I actually think that's an awful comparison  He's a lot more versatile offensively than Crowder is. Crowder is probably a better shooter and defender than Bembry is. But, yeah I've been aboard the Bembry hype train, probably annoyingly so, really since his freshman year.

I would be content with Bembry , seems like solid Phil type of player. I think you are underestimating Crowder a bit. Crowder had almost a 30 PER his senior year( Bembry 22.7 his junior yr). Granted Bemby could have improved his senior year but Crkwder was a analytics beast. More of a poor mans Kawhi Lenard.

If you are looking for length and Analytics, Caris Levert and the Louisville Center( Anuchu) fit the bill

How about actually obtaining a pick first? We shouldn't be "targeting" anyone.

I agree with him actually

Id go a step further and say we could probably be ok with a stop gap SG as well

Eric Gordon and Lee and Jamal are all solid stop gaps at the 2

I'd select LaVert if we get into the 2nd round.

Like Michael Gbijine as well. Not sure about Whitehead though. Wouldnt be mad if we picked him though. Wouldnt be mad if we picked anybody to tell you the truth. Just get me a SG that has the potential to be a nice backup.

What's the point in getting a pick if you're not targeting anyone?

I want nothing to do with Gbinjine. Melo is the only 'Cuse guy in recent history to find success at the NBA level. MG is 24 and doesn't do anything at a high level.

It's actually shocking how bad he is.

LeVert's injury history scares the hell out of me. Such a shame. Awesome well rounded offensive player.

The Knicks are without a pick and we have players smooching them. What a time to be alive.

Yea Syracuse guys have a shaky history.

And yes, LeVert's injury issues are a big concern. But with a 2nd round pick or late 1st, I would definitely swing for the fences. Its a low risk move especially if we are only giving up cash.
