The Indiana Pacers have acquired Jeff Teague from the Atlanta Hawks as part of a three-team trade.

The Utah Jazz will acquire George Hill from Indiana as part of the deal.

Teague will be a free agent in 2017 and the Hawks will go forward with Dennis Schroder at the point guard position.

Teague grew up in the Indianapolis area.

I'm hearing 12th pick in the draft, which puts us on the cusp of a big name rookie.

We're in the Skal / Ellenson list of picks now.

I like the move already, simply to bring in new talent.

Utah gets screwed. Indy doesn't give up enough. Hawks are just in the middle. I'm guessing more details coming out of Indy?

Woj is saying Atlanta is leaning towards taking Malachi at #12.

I hope they are going to package 21 and 12 and move into the top 8

I know they had Richardson in for workouts, but has he risen that much? CBS has him 10th best SG and Valentine, Beasley & Baldwin ahead of him.

Supposedly Memphis promised to take him at 17.

For what it's worth, DraftExpress disagrees; they believe Atlanta is targeting one of the big men (specifically, Poeltl, Sabonis, and Deyonta Davis).

Looks like we are finally going to see what we have in Dennis as a starter for a full 82 game season.

Also, with our recent draft history I am very nervous with our newly acquired late lottery pick. We BADLY need to nail our pick at #12.

Domantas Sabonis? If it weren't too late, I think I would be changing my draft predictions to slot him there.

I am as well. Sabonis definitely seems like a good fit with the Hawks. Supposedly we have been pretty high on Malachi Richardson as well which leads me to believe that they haven't been all that impressed with THJ. I'm also not totally convinced that we stay at #12. We have a lot of future picks to move up further in the lottery including #21 this year.

As far as prospects go--Malachi, Sabonis, and Brown would be my top 3 guesses to go to the Hawks at the moment.

Back to Hawks: Sources say they'll now try to trade their two first-rounders (one from the Teague deal) to make re-signing Al Horford easier

How does that make signing Al easier?
