Dunn
Beal
Saric
Simmons
Noel
would be an exciting group. Top 5 league pass team for me.

What I'm saying is, is Sacramento trying and not getting the workouts, or is it they don't see a need to workout a guy that sits maybe 26th on their board.
Great question. Personally I would view not working out guys projected 10-20 as a flaw (extra info, never hurts), but guys projected 10-30 rejecting workouts as a serious flaw (oh god, that sounds clearly bad).
Hoping for more info on which it is because that is an outstanding question.
For what its worth:

Also, small edit above above.
Personally I would view not working out guys projected 10-20 as a flaw (extra info, never hurts) unless its because the cost of flying a guy in. Then it is a signal of such cheapness it is a very bad signal.

The league should hire two sets of doctors to do physicals and the results should be sent to all 30 teams.

Docs in Phoenix are considered part of the team and a competitive advantage. They see things other docs don't sometimes.

But you undermine the purpose of the draft when some players refuse to even take a physical.

The Nuggets did, however, workout a lot of mid-late 1st round projections as well as quite a few 2nd round and undrafted prospects.

See that's what's annoying to me. I'm not a Sacramento fan, have no dog in the fight, horse in the race, whatever. Just that the reporting seems like an unnecessary mocking of the Kings. Denver has a pick at 19, so it makes sense for them to work out guys from 12-30, on the chance they slip, rise, whatever. But they apparently have same issue, and what I saw Ziller tweet earlier, none of the top guys were doing individual workouts really.
I do get the argument for doing die dilligence, but bringing in 1-30 with a top 8 pick just seems completely unnecessary and ridiculous. Especially when you have all of your game scouting on them, and anything from the combine, interviews and what not. Do they really need to bring in Chad Ford's 28th ranked guy for a 2 hour workout and dinner on the off chance they get a pick in the 20s?

Not sure if this was mentioned previously but it looks like Okafor to Phoenix could happen (why i am not sure), you can bet then that Dunn lands up in Philly somehow (provided Ainge isn't super high on him, so much so that he will deal Smart).
On the kings drama, i don't blame players giving them a wide berth, they've been a mess for years and its not easy to clear up that reputation (not that they have anyway). I'd say they should deal the pick if no one wants to work for them, may as well because Baldwin at 8 is just stupid.
The Kings are dumb

The Spurs never had a private workout with Kawhi Leonard before trading for his rights in last year’s draft.

Exactly: that reason being that they were confident enough in their scouting to make the private workout irrelevant.
jbk1234 wrote:Right but if he doesn't work out for the Pacers, maybe he gets drafted by a team who doesn't trade him.

Do you have any proof that he didn't? Seeing as how Kawhi was willing to do a video workout for DraftExpress (here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA1GYjD1yHo) I find it hard to believe that he didn't get worked out by a ton of teams in that range--none of whom wanted to take him. I do remember that the Kings worked him out and had him high on their rankings (he was slotted to the Kings in a LOT of mock drafts at the time), but the Maloofs apparently overruled Petrie because they wanted to make some money on the Jimmer show.
