If in a league full of amazing talent at PG, we take another PG who can't shoot.

I hope we blow this **** team up then. Your only assets are IT, Bradley, and Crowder. And outside of Crowder the other 2 have only 2 years left on their contract.

If you're telling me you can't find a big man prospect in this draft that you think is on a similar level, then just freaking trade IT to Philly for Noel and a lottery pick next season and let's do a full rebuild.

I'm going with Bender.
Korkmaz at 16
Maker at 23
Hernangomez at 31 (stash)
Caris Lavert at 35
Zhou Qi at 45 (stash)
Georgios Papagiannis 51 (stash)
Paul Zipser at 58 (stash)

I'd also trade Bradley for 8 or 9th pick and take Poeltl I think he'll have a long career as a good to very good starting center.

I voted Chriss and I don't know why. I have Dunn, Murray, Hield, Chriss, Brown, Bender all in the same tier. I hope Ainge is more deceive than I.

If we do keep the pick I hopes it's between Dunn, Hield, Murray, or Brown. Bender is not worth the 3rd pick imo

Simmons, no doubt. Simmons is Lamar Odom minus the crack addiction plus the drive to be the best.

From what I've heard lately about Simmon's mindset, he is going to be really good. We all knew the physical tools are there, but he has the mental accept on the game too. Dangerous combination.

If Ainge outsmarts himself and picks Dunn, Phoenix or Minny will be all over Bender.

Poeltl is the guy who can help the Celts most. He can post up finish p n rs and his j.s. is improving. On defense he can defend pnrs and hedge. Great hands and touch. Cs gotta get him some way.

Oh god. Ainge is so predictable if true, lol.

I shouldn't have even thought this was a question. He's pretty much the prototype guard Ainge has been wanting and drafting for years. Ah well.

Then Dunn is the pick at 3, even if the Lakers pass on Ingram. Interesting.

its hard to make a case for others to be honest if youve seen every possession of Dunn

It's Dunn. No way Ainge lets the best defensive guy in this draft slide. He's a beast, a Marcus Smart defensive beast.

Well I didn't watch these guys enough to have a firm opinion when their are so many possibilities. But I tend to believe if both nbadraft.net and draftexpress are now saying the Celtics will take Dunn, for better or worse he will in all likelihood be the choice. Good chance he is traded or someone else is moved since I don't think Ainge wants to much of a logjam.

Ainge may be drafting him in part with the recognition Philly and Chicago should be on the lookout for a PG.

GonzoLays wrote:Bender's teammates on Maccabi speak in awe of the kid and the things he can do on the court (check out the SI article on him and the video). Think about it, he just turned 18 and he got 15 mins a game for one of the finest programs in Europe. He played with men and held his own.

If this guy went to college in the US, he would be in convo for the first pick overall hands down.

His talent is off the charts, the only negatives are is that he is European and too young.

I'm from Israel, I've seen Bender many times this season, and what you wrote is just a lot of hype with not much substance to back it up.

First, he did not really hold his own while playing against grown men, he was really bad for most of the season especially defensively, he showed some falshes here and there, but not much more.

Maccabi might be one of the finest teams in Europe most years, but not this year, they had by far their worst season in decades, so Bender played badly on a bad team.

His talent is NOT off the charts. He is talented, very talented even, I think he has all-star potential, maybe slightly more, that's his ceiling, but his floor is very low and eventually, I'd be very surprised if he turns out to be the best player on this draft. In fact, I think he has more chance of being a bust than being a top-3 player in this draft when it's all said and done.
