I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but a buddy tells me the 76ers might trade Nerlens Noel and Carl Landry to the Suns for Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe's coming off an injury and apparently the Suns like Noel's defense even though he's heading into the end of his rookie deal. Tyson Chandler didn't work out there, obviously, and they are trying to dump him. Suns are hoping Dunn will be there for them at #4, but there's a growing sentiment that's not happening. Boston is still holding out hope that a bigger fish will become available when they are on the clock (all the names we've heard about), but it's growing more likely they are going to just draft and keep Kris Dunn. If the Suns/Sixers deal goes down and Boston grabs Dunn, my buddy claims that it might end up as a 3-team deal with Boston sending the Suns Marcus Smart (expendable with Dunn) and James Young for Alex Len (who my buddy claims Boston likes) and #13. Boston would then try to trade up using #13 + #16 + #23 to move into the 7-10 range with hopes of that one of their targets will slip and become available (Bender/Hield/Chriss/Brown). But take this with a grain of salt. It's just what my buddy tells me. I honestly don't get the Alex Len thing at all. Isn't he heading into the end of his rookie contract as well? Makes no sense. I honestly don't believe this, but I'm sending it along, because I know this forum loves eating up garbage rumors.

McD wouldn't trade an asset for Noel, when he could've easily drafted him in 2013.

This Boston/Philly rumor is just BAD, lol, one can only hope McD doesn't overreact and do something stupid like selling low on our assets.

jeezus.... thats a boat load.

Its hard to imagine McD being in a blow it up mode. But hey, as bad as we were, I guess there is ample reason for a shake up. I too like Dunn, and feel this Chriss stuff is a smoker from all angles even though he is getting huge props from analysts. May be with new coach Watson a new fresh start is needed. Smart/Noel/Landry for Bled/Len/#13 ??? Shazam Seems like a rather lateral move. Figures Ainge would Monkey-up our plans IF we actually have Dunn in the crosshairs.

If Bogdanovic isn't coming over, I think we hang on to Archie for this last year for one final run. He should be our full time backup at SG so no excuses if he can't produce. Sink or swim time.

I think John Jenkins is better than Archie.

Bledsoe is the only above average player on the entire team.

That would be a very interesting strategy.

No doubt we're one of those teams.
I don't know enough about him to determine if he's worth the 13th pick as I'm sure that's what they are looking at.

I would do that Philly/Boston deal if it was on the table. I don't get the swap though for Boston.

1. Knight + #34 for Thad Young

2. Draft Jamal Murray or Buddy Hield al #4

3. Draft whoever is available at #13 of Ellenson, Sabonis, Davi and Labissiere.

4. Draft and stash at #28 or someone with potential like Diallo, Ulis or Maker.

Call it a great draft day.

McD wouldn't trade an asset for Noel, when he could've easily drafted him in 2013.

I actually tend to think this rumor might be true, because it's counterintuitive. Who would come up with this?

I'm not completely opposed to this. I'm interested in trading Bledsoe for a younger piece that fits, and if Noel is the best we can do, that's the best we can do. I still like Len a ton, but that would make Len necessary to jettison.

Doesn't surprise me at all that the Celtics like Len. Surprises me more, actually, that we would need to deal the #13 along with him to get Marcus Smart. I would expect additional draft considerations - maybe the #23? - in that exchange.

Smart-Booker-Warren-Chriss-Noel doesn't look terrible, but it doesn't look that great, either. Smart can't shoot. Like at all. Great defender, though. Noel is at least as injury-prone as Alex, and true big men will eat us alive.

IDK. Wouldn't hate it. Wouldn't love it. Might prefer to move Noel to the Celtics instead of Len for Smart and a pick or two, which is a deal that was rumored last year.

They'll probably want a higher pick so they can draft and develop a team. I don't think Knight / 34 (or even 28) is what they have in mind for him since they aren't contending at this time.

I think they'll want the 13 if we're involved and I sense McD would do it.
You get an asset who you could trade later for a future mid round pick in a better draft.

No way it's true, can you name a rumour that turned out to be correct from the McDonough front office, they don't exist.

And if this is the first, it's a totally bizarre one as we only play stretch 4s, so Noel would have to play C and compete with Len and Chandler, and we give up our only above average player during McDonough's tenure (ok Dragic too).

Bledsoe is doing an event for the Suns during the draft today lol there's literally no way they decide to trade him while he's at the Suns' draft party in person
