taking Chriss over Bender seems like you're just trying to be a little bit too clever.

as the wise DJ Khaled says, congratulations, you played yourself

Combined with those predictions just happen to be PF needs based, and GMs just don't select for need in the top 5 of the draft.

Ford had TJ Warren pegged for a while before the draft

Yeah, it kind of seems like the last couple of years, the rumors were pretty close to being right. Like Gambo said something like "Our board looks something like Kaminsky, WCS, Booker" last year. He could have been guessing but the first two were gone before our pick.

Might as well get Williams or Jones as a FA, better players, no need to give up picks.

Maybe Bender isn't as ready for the NBA as everyone seems to think he is? Reports came out about him being almost shockingly weak at workouts lol

Good to hear Boston like Dunn and Brown, personally don't like either.

I wonder how secure McDonough would have to be in his job to select Marquese Chriss. He could look terrible for 2 years, McDonough could get sacked and Chriss could still turnout to be an All-Star.

Lack of effort on defense and rebounding with his talents is inexcusable. This will become real apparent in playoff games.

Also watching these playoffs made me feel that Bledsoe is very valuable in todays league for his defense at pg position. Steph curry was forced to hide every time they played elite guards. so i hope we don't trade him and draft murray.

This.

We are going to draft another low IQ player who doesn't know or wants to pass the ball and does not have a clue about being a team player.

Archie Goodwin, Brandon Knight, The Morris Brothers, Gerald Green, Shannon Brown, Michael Beasley......we always have a good pair of players with that mentality ...and now Chriss who seems another player like that. :noway:

So who do you want then? Who has a high BBIQ in the top 5? Dunn? Who TOs the ball all the time? Is that high BBIQ? Should we draft Booker's Back-up at 4? Skal, Brown...are those guys with high BBIQ?

The fact is, we don't have a heck of a lot of choice here, and if we are shopping Bledsoe and take Dunn at 4, than so be it, but until that happens, Chriss appears to be the frontrunner for us...then again, I came straight to these boards this morning, so for all I know, something big ha changed....I'm only on pg 56 so far...

Yeah, that kind of has me a little worried about drafting him..don't want him getting thrown around in the post like a rag doll...but that is more just me second guessing myself.

He is more of a perimeter guy anyway and many euros came in pretty skinny (Dirk, Gasol) and then Durant couldn't bench 185 at the combine.

I wouldn't worry a ton about the strength of a 7'1 18 year old when he has a strong work ethic and is as quick as he is. Strange there is ZERO talk about him.

I wonder if he is in for a big slide or if teams are just not showing their cards.

Our general community feels PHX is the more appropriate partner for a rumored/what if trade deal with Young.

He's not a great rebounder or shot blocker right? And I know he can't spread the floor. Can he play defense? What exactly is he good at?

Like any player, he'll have his good nights and his bad ones. Like any fan base, some will rate player as an X while others rate him as a Y.

My opinion is that Young, in a more tempo system where there isn't necessarily a post presence already established, you'll see him more of a player to stand out. Due to our way of playing, with Lopez being our best and big man player, there's some colliding but not necessarily bad results. If you're looking at #s, i expect Young's to be higher had there not been a Lopez or a dominant big man along.

Defensively, he can play the passing the lanes great IMO. very good at creating deflections and TOs. A good solid rebounder, nothing earth shattering but solid for someone of his size and play.

Doesn't stretch the field, but will hit some 3s but not at a comfortable clip which is fine cuz that's not his game.

Very good around rim. He can create for himself down low and hustle his ass off. If the options isn't there, he's not one to take an ugly shot.

He's a good complementary player that you'd want for his defense and scoring as a 3rd player role... If you're depending on him as your #2, i guess he can be that guy, he has had good games where he racks up a lot of FGs, but it be really high expectations for him and i wouldn't hold to that if i were a fan.

He can be your 2nd best player though which wouldn't mean in a scorer's way if that makes sense.

I was wondering who the PF version of Brandon Knight was, and realised it's Thaddeus Young.

I want Jamal Murray. My second option Hield and then Bender.

I only want one of those three.

And do not tell me that Murray or Hield play the same position of Booker...they can play together.

Reaching for need is a really bad thing in the draft.

After Simmons and Ingram the three better prospects in the draft are backcourt players... Murray, Hield and Dunn. Keep it simple.

Take one of those three. Dunn is the worse of them IMO and he can only play one position, so I prefer the versatile shooters over him.

I do not care about Knigh, Price or Goodwin...they are not big time players or something like that.

for all the "wow bright side writers are idiots/always sensationalize everything", Ford clearly states that the Suns "dangled their picks to at least one team: The Jazz for Gordon Hayward"

he has us taking Chriss, Dejountae Murray, Ante Zizic, and Petr Cornelie

I'm not sure I believe we were trying to move Bledsoe. Three knee injuries, and he missed 37% of all Suns games the last 3 years. I don't think we could get back enough for a Bledsoe trade to be worth it.

Even though I'm not Hield's biggest fan, this Kaiser dude is all over the place, and he's certainly worth a top 8ish pick. My issue with Hield is mostly because we have Booker.
