I really like GPII.

Yeah that's what Pelton said. I can't remember if it was first or second ever but something like that for a guard. The guy is ridiculously athletic. If I'm Presti and there's a way to get his draft rights I'm doing it. Park him with the Blue next season (otherwise known as the Grant Jerrett treatment for second rounders of the Josh Huestis for firsts) and see if he can figure out how to shoot. The shot looks like a total rebuild. But we've got time for him to figure it out.

I'd love to see us get him just so that we can get Gary Payton to cheer for the Thunder.

Maybe even get him to show up for a game. Dare we dream he'd put on a playoff T-Shirt? How awesome would that be?

Wayne Selden from the Finch report, since he apparently came and worked out:

Finch wrote:Wayne Selden, 6'6" junior guard, Kansas: "He's big and rugged, he's got a good body on him. What does he do? He doesn't get better. He is who he is. I don't think he's going to change much. Probably guards a four man better than he guards a two man. I think he's a second-rounder but he probably makes a team. He's not consistent enough as a shooter. He can't get to where he wants on the floor. He has the body to be a better defender but he's not the guy to really get you stops."

Everything I'm hearing about Isaiah Cousins has me interested in him recently, at the very least as a flier to start off with the Blue. Tough, decent size, knocks down his shots and has a little off-the-bounce skill.

I thought Cousins never got enough credit for OU's success. If he weren't as good as he was I think Buddy's limited ability to dribble penetrate would have been more often exposed. I'd certainly take a look at him if available.

Agree with this. Selden came in with Wiggins and Embiid and was highly touted. But he just never did much. Seemed mostly unremarkable.

Dudes, this thread over on the Draft page is really good if you haven't already seen it. User named "Notanoob" breaks down all the numbers of the SG class. Very informative.

Levert is intriguing—if we could buy a pick to get him, he could be seriously good down the road if his foot doesn't explode.

I think it'd be worth the risk. We have more leeway than a lot of teams do from the standpoint of "needing" someone. Park him with the Blue next season and revisit it in a year.

Yep, he's a target I'd really like.

Now Atlanta is rumored to be interested in getting rid of two picks. This may be a record buyers market for picks this year.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Presti went for this.

If they trade Lamb for a second then trade back for him and 22 it would be hilarious. But they'd need to salary match and they to want cap space.

Morrow and McGary for Lamb and #22. Salaries work. The Hornets cut Morrow so they shed $4.9M from the books. Thunder get Denzel Valentine at #22. Resign KD. Off-season complete.

Or Patrick McCaw or Malachi Richardson if Valentine is gone

I want this so freaking bad...

Gosh, I don't know. Lamb has had a lot of chances at this point and still appears to be a middling talent. Even were we to point to numbers showing him more effective than Dion in certain instances I don't know if I want to go there. We need to start setting our sights higher.

The 22nd is somewhat intriguing though.

How much higher can they set their sights given their cap situation? Lamb is an upgrade to Waiters. The #22 pick, in the hands of Presti, could turn into another big time player. They could still resign Waiters. They can't sign a quality FA with their cap situation. Trading Morrow and McGary for improvement at SG and a pick that could be Patrick McCaw, Valentine, Damian Jones, Maliik Beasley or Malachi Richardson. It improves the roster short and long term.

We really should try to trade Mitch for that Charlotte pick. I don't see how he fits in this roster next season. Take Cheick Diallo.
Or Taurean Prince.

Agreed. His per-minute and per-possession numbers are pretty close to what he's been his whole career. Oddly enough, I think he's probably better as a midrange specialist than a 3pt shooter—he always looked far more comfortable curl cutting at the elbow off Collison than spotting up outside the arc.

I'd much rather explore moving Kanter for a 1st or multiple picks (which seem remarkably cheap this year) and opening that $20mil or so in cap space by dropping our cap holds.
