I'd deal cash for #22nd pick & Jeremy Lamb and seek to deal Beal in a S&T once free agency begins. Could we get Noel for Beal?

I think it would take a lot more than Kelly O to get Ibaka. I don't think we have the assets to get involved.

I wouldn't even trade Kelly for Ibaka straight up

Not that OKC would ever offer that trade, but why do you value Kelly Oubre higher than Ibaka?

I love his potential. I think at worst he can be Trevor Ariza with elite athleticism which is actually really rare and valuable.

I wouldn't deal Oubre for Ibaka either. It doesn't make sense for us to get older instead of younger. I don't think that deal makes sense for OKC either.

What about Gortat for Ibaka?

Pretty boy for pretty boy? I'd definitely do it. Ibaka's only 26. But yeah, I don't think we have the assets to pull that off.

I'm not sure I believe that Ibaka is only 26.

OKC is only shopping Ibaka because they're set with Adams and Kanter. I don't see any space for Gortat there. My guess is that they want a long-term, somewhat affordable solution at the 2.

Here's the latest on his value:

Tom Moore: #NBA source on Jahlil Okafor/Nerlens Noel: ‘I think everybody’s overvaluing those two guys. Jeff Teague is about the level you’re going to get for Nerlens Noel.’
– via Twitter tmoore76ers

Based on that, I'd say we could. Maybe even Noel and something else, like Covington or Stauskas?

That's greedy. And I like it! :D

I think Beal for Noel is a huge step down in value and Covington/Stauskas don't come close to making up the difference.

Ibaka is on an expiring deal so i guess they figure they won't be able to resign him. I wouldn't hesitate to trade Beal or KO for him. His offense has been weak the last couple of years but Wall could remedy that.

I think the Lamb/22 thing has also been discussed in the off-season thread -- it's a no-brainer. Especially since we can actually use Lamb -- as I said over there, I didn't like him much in the '12 draft, but he has become quite an above-average player in the last couple of years.

Lamb and Brice Johnson for nada -- sounds good to me!

Agreed. That's a horrific deal.

Porter for Noel is fair, might throw in Sato to make it work

Well, the East keeps getting a little better. At least the bottom is now that Ibaka is headed to the Magic.
